It has been brought to the notice of the University that, some of the affiliated colleges have been demanding additional amount over and above the fees collected by the University for Admission to P.G courses. The explanation of such colleges were called and in response the following colleges viz., Mount Carmel College, T. John College, Presidency College, St. Joseph’s College, PES College, Premier College, Ganga Kaveri College, Christ College.Jyoti Nivas College, Vydehi Institute of Mgmt Studies, Dayananda Sagar College and St. George College have informed that they are not demanding any extra amount.
Further, the following colleges viz., , Al-Ameen Arts, Science & Commerce College, City College and Bangalore City College have informed that they are collecting about Rs. 12,000/- for certain additional facilities being provided by the College. These colleges have been advised that first they should admit the students and thereafter, if the students agree voluntarily, then only they can collect any additional amount for additional facilities and not other wise. The students are, therefore, advised to approach the colleges for admission with the assurance that they are not supposed to pay any additional amount to the College at the time of admission. In case, the student face any difficulty they may send a written complaint to the Registrar, Bangalore University, Bangalore personally or on Fax No. 23211020.
