Admission to 5 year (10 Sem) B.Arch. Degree programme offered at Anna university / government aided institution (self-supporting programme) and seats surrendered by un-aided self-financing colleges for the academic year 2006 - 2007
Eligibility:
Candidates for admission to the first semester of ten semester B.Arch. degree programme shall be required to have passed the higher secondary examination of (10+2) curriculum or diploma with a minimum of 3 years of study recognized by the central / state government with English, maths, physics and chemistry as subjects of study with an overall aggregate of not less than 50% of marks in the qualifying examination. However, for tamilnadu SC/ST candidates, who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination or 3 years diploma, with English, maths, physics and chemistry as subjects, are also eligible.
The candidates desirous to seek admission to Anna University must have appeared for the aptitude test to be conducted by the Anna University on 25.06.2006 at Chennai only.
Candidate desirous to seek admission in government aided institutions (self-supporting programme) / self-financing colleges (seats surrendered by them) affiliated to Anna University must have written the national aptitude test for architecture (NATA) 2006 conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi. Last date for submission of NATA mark sheet is on or before 30.06.2006
Admission to BArch degree programme is based on the qualifying examination (200 marks) and aptitude test (200 marks).

In Person: Application forms can be had in person from 2.6.2006 from the center for entrance examination, Anna University, Chennai 25 and payment by DD for Rs.600/- for general category and Rs.300/- for Tamilnadu SC/ST candidates.
By Post: Application forms can be obtained by post by sending a DD for Rs.630/- for general category and Rs.330/- for Tamilnadu SC/ST category (which includes postal expenses and service charge).
Candidates seeking admission under special reservations (except sports quota) shall enclose separate special reservation application along with the main application in the prescribed format available in the Information and instruction to candidates with an additional fee of Rs. 100/0 (Rupees one hundred only) in the form of DD for each special reservation enclosing relevant certificates.
Candidates seeking admission under sports quota are directed to submit their special reservation applications as well as the main application along with documents and additional fee of Rs.100/- in the form of DD to the Secretary, TNEA, Examination center, Anna University, only in person on or before the due date.
All DD should be drawn in favour of Director, admissions, Anna University payable at Chennai, on any Nationalized / Scheduled bank dated on or after 1.6.06. Candidate is instructed to write his/her name on the reverse side of the DD. Tamilnadu SC/ST candidates alone can avail application fee concession by producing a copy of the community certificates.
