Off-Campus Work-Integrated Learning Programmes

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, which is deemed to be a university, is an all-India institute for higher education for men and women and awards its own degrees. The Institute offers the following off-campus work-integrated learning programmes:

Integrated First Degree Programmes BS

Normal Duration: 6 Semesters

BS Engineering Technology (ET)

BS Information Systems (IS): Input requirements: Employed persons with minimum two years relevant experience and a technical diploma or an undergraduate degree like B.Sc etc. involved in engineering professions for ET or computer software / hardware for IS.

Higher Degree Programmes MS
Normal Duration: 4 Semesters

MS Software Systems (SS): Input requirements: Employed persons with minimum one year relevant experience in software development or allied areas with Integrated First Degree of BITS like B.E. (Hons) M. Sc (Hons) B.S. Information Systems or equivalent.

MS Manufacturing Management (MM): Input requirements: Employed persons with minimum one year relevant experience in engineering industries with Integrated First Degree of BITS like B.E. (Hons) M. Sc (Hons) B.S. Engineering Technology or equivalent.

BITS also operate several other collaborative programmes with many industries across the country in functional areas directed towards their HRD needs. Any organization interested in such collaborative programme may write to the institute for details.

Application Procedure

Application form and programme details can be downloaded from the BITS website ( http://www.bits-pilani.ac.in/dip-home). Duly completed application form should be submitted along with the requisite processing fee of Rs. 600/- in the form of a crossed demand draft drawn in favor of Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani payable at State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, Pilani (Code: 10398) or UCO Bank, Vidya Vihar, Pilani (Code: 0150). In case of demand draft payable at any other bank, a Demand Draft for Rs.700/- should be submitted.

Deadline for submission of the duly completed application forms to the undersigned is 5.00 P.M. on 31st October 2006. Dean, DLPO Bits, Pilani 333031 (Raj).
