Eligibility: The candidates for the programme must have either a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 60% marks, or a Masters degree or its equivalent in any discipline with at least 55% marks. The candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in all their public examinations starting with the secondary level. Work experience in industry or academics, though not mandatory, will be given due credit in the admission process.

Age Limit: Candidates must not be more than 45 years of age as on 30th June 2007.

Admission Procedure: Candidates will be short-listed for the selection interview on the basis of one of the following exams: Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs, GATE, GRE, GMAT, and JRF of UGC/CSIR. Scores of any of these exams taken during the last two years (i.e., on or after July 01, 2005) will be considered valid. Candidates already holding a PGDM from any of the IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale are exempted from taking one of the exams listed above, and can apply directly through the prescribed Application Form.

Financial Support: All FPM students are provided with a monthly stipend of Rs.10,000/- for a maximum period of four years. IIM Lucknow provides free lodging facilities. Students will not be required to pay any fees. Students are provided a contingency grant of Rs.25, 000/- per year for purchase of book/hardware etc. and for attending conferences. NRIs and foreign candidates will be required to bear all the expenses including the tuition fee. Final year students are eligible to apply for the Bharti Foundation Scholarship of Rs.4 lacs.

Career Opportunities: Pass graduates of this programme are serving as faculty in premiere management institutes, and in research/analysis divisions of premiere national and multinational corporations.

Japanese Language Proficiency Test JLPT 2006

Application Forms can be Obtained for the above Test JLPT Test Administrative Committee, till 5.00 p.m of 1st September 2006 and the last date for receiving completed applications at our office is till 5.00 pm of 5th September 2006. Please note that these time limits will not be extended for any reason whatsoever.

Application Cost is Rs. 50/- each and Test Fee for Level 1 & 2 is Rs. 500/-, Level 3 & Level 4 is Rs. 350/-. Application will be issued only on first come first served basis for institutions, organizations & individuals (one form per individuals) depending on the availability.

Teachers Recruitment Examination

Chennai: The Teachers Recruitment Board has announced a written competitive examination to fill 659 posts of postgraduate assistants for Government Higher Secondary Schools on September 17 at all district headquarters.

Candidates should be an MA, M. Sc or M. Com in the relevant subject along with B. Ed and must have studied the same subject in Bachelors and Masters degree both for academic subjects and languages.

Application forms can be obtained from the offices of chief educational officers at all districts on a cash payment of Rs.100

TNAU Doctoral Programme Entrance Test

Coimbatore: Entrance test for admission to doctoral programmes at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) for the academic year 2006-07 will be held at the Undergraduates Examination Hall on the campus, at 9 a.m. on August 2. A release said that call letters had already been sent to eligible candidates. Engineering Examinations

October / November 2006 B.E., B.Tech., B.Sc Applied Science (all branches) and M. Sc Software Engineering (Arrear) Practical and Viva-voce examinations are scheduled to commence from 20th September 2006 and the Theory examinations from 4th October 2006. Detailed time-table will be sent to the colleges in due course and the candidates are requested to keep in touch with the college concerned.

Application forms for the said degree examinations for the candidates who have already appeared and failed and left the college can be had either in person or by post from the Principal of the college concerned by enclosing a self addressed ten rupees stamped envelope with a requisition specifying the Degree examination for which the application is sought. All candidates admitted to B.E, (Full time / Part time and lateral entry) from 1982 to 2001 batches, B. Tech candidates who joined the course 2000 onwards, B. Sc Applied Science (All branches) during 2001 batch and M. Sc Software Engineering courses during 1999-2001, are permitted to complete their arrear subjects in the same syllabus during October / November 2006 examinations.

The time limit for completion of the course for the students who joined the B. Sc Applied Science (all branches) from 1982 to 2000 and M. Sc (S.E) 1998 batch and B. Tech students who joined up to 1999 are already over and they are not eligible to apply for October / November 2006 examinations.

Last date for receipt of filled in application at the college without Fine is 17.08.2006 and with a fine of Rs.60/- is 25.08.2006. Applications received after 25.08.2006 will be summarily rejected.
