National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM) is a sector-specific management institute. Modeled on the lines of IITs and IIMs, it was established to provide Education, Training, Research and Consultancy services for Tourism, Hospitality and related industries in India and abroad.

The USD 7.0 million Institute, located at Gachibowli, Hyderabad on a 30-acre campus has been promoted jointly by ministry of tourism govt. of India and govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

UG Admissions To Tamil Nadu Agricultural University TNAU

Coimbatore:Completed applications for undergraduate degree courses at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) will be received till 5 p.m. on June 16, for the academic year 2006-07.

A release said that the completed applications should be sent to the Dean (Agriculture), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore - 641 003. Forms and information brochures would be available at the Agricultural Colleges in Coimbatore, Madurai, Killikulam and Tiruchi, besides the Agricultural Engineering College, Kumulur; Forest College, Mettupalayam; Horticultural College, Periyakulam; and the Urban Horticultural Development Centre, Chennai.

TNAU offered nine undergraduate programmes in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, home science, agricultural engineering and self-financing courses in Food Process Engineering, agricultural biotechnology, horticulture, and energy and environmental engineering.

Programmes were organized on various campuses:

B.Sc. (Agriculture): Coimbatore, Madurai, Killikulam (Tuticorin) and Navallur Kuttapattu (Tiruchi). It was also available at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture and Research Institute, Karaikal (affiliated to TNAU).

B.Sc. (Horticulture): Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam. Self-financing courses in B.Sc. (Agriculture) and B.Sc. (Horticulture) were also available at Adiparasakthi Agricultural College, Kalavai (affiliated to TNAU).

B.Sc. (Forestry): Forestry College and Research Institute, Mettupalayam.

B.Sc. (Home Science): Home Science College and Research Institute, Madurai.

B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering): Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Kumulur.

Students seeking admission to TNAU undergraduate courses should have written the Tami Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Examination (TNPCEE) conducted by Anna University. They would be called for single-window counselling based on the marks they had obtained.
Original certificates

Candidates should bring with them their original certificates along with admission fee of Rs. 2,000 in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of the Dean (Agriculture), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.
