ICAR-All India Competitive Examination for Admissions to UG Programmes in Agriculture and Allied Science Subjects other than Veterinary Sciences

Details: Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi will conduct 11th All India Competitive Examination for filling up 15% of the total number of seats in 41 Agricultural Universities in 10 subjects of Under Graduate degree Programmes including Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries Science, Forestry, Home Science, Sericulture, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Science & Technology and Agriculture Marketing Banking & Co-operation, and 100% of the seats at National Dairy Research Institute, Kamal (Haryana) in Dairy Technology. There will be no direct nomination of any candidate for admission in any Under Graduate degree programme.
Date and time of the Examination: 7th May, 2006 (Sunday) from 10.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M.
Venue: 38 Examination Centres in the Country as given in the Information Bulletin
Date of start for sale of Information Bulletins with Application’ Forms: 14th February, 2006
Last date for submitting Application Forms: 22nd March, 2006 (for remote areas: 28th March, 2006)

ADMISSION TO SEATS IN PROFESSIONAL COURSES IN GOVERNMENT, UNIVERSITY AND AIDED COURSES IN PRIVATE AIDED COLLEGES FOR THE YEAR 2006-07.
1. Applications are invited from eligible candidates from Karnataka and the wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants for registration for the Common Entrance Test 2006 for admission to first year Medical/ Dental/ Ayurveda/ Homoeopathy/ Unani/ Naturopathy & Yoga/ Engineering/ Technology courses and Aptitude Test 2006 for admission to first year Architecture course in Government/ University/ Private Aided colleges, and also for the seats filled by the State Government in Un-aided minority & non-minority institutions on the basis of consensus* between the Government and the Institutions which are specified by the Government by notification for the academic year 2006-07.
2. The merit will be determined in accordance with the provisions in the Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006. A candidate should compulsorily appear for PCB subjects in case of Medical/ Dental/ Ayurveda/ Homoeopathy/ Unani/ Naturopathy & Yoga courses and PCM subjects in case of Engineering/ Technology courses in the Common Entrance Test and for both Part I & Part II of the Aptitude Test for admission to Architecture course.
