Students take it easy for MHT-CET

Having given IIT-JEE & AIEEE, students are less stressed about this exam

Nineteen-year old Karthik Venkat has just returned from a holiday in Chennai and is in no mood to prepare for the MHT-CET exams on May 17. I have given the IIT-JEE and AIEEE and I am keeping my fingers crossed to get good scores in one or both. MHT-CET is also important, but I am appearing for it so as to keep my options open, he feels.

An estimated 29,930 students will be appearing for the exam this Thursday at 65 centres all over Mumbai. But most less stressed as compared to other tests. IIT-JEE and AIEEE both went reasonably well, but I cant be assured of a seat there. Thats the reason I am giving MHT-CET. Its pretty easy to pass CET as they are much simpler and has objectives unlike other tests, says 18-year-old Neville Mascarenhas. Moreover, there is no negative marking in MHT-CET, he adds.
