The Programme:
Post-Graduate Programme in Business Management for Working Managers (WMP) is a uniquely designed programme for working executives, entrepreneurs and professionals who have a desire to enhance their knowledge and skills in a formal setting while continuing to be engaged in their ongoing professions / businesses
The programme is especially structured to meet learning aspirations of enthusiastic and bright executives, and will inculcate in them strong conceptual fundamentals and skills required to manage businesses of the future. The WMP will help them become management leaders and change agents to take leadership roles in the global arena. The specific objectives of the program are to enable the executives to:-
Comprehend the meaning of socio-economic, political, technological and ecological environment of modern societies and their characteristic values;
ire the prevailing state-of-art knowledge and skills in the functional areas of management; lop analytical and innovative foresight to gauge change and to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of organizational systems; e societal well-being.
Eligibility for Post-Graduate Programme in Business Management for Working Managers:
ts must have pursued 10+2 years of formal schooling.
leted at least a 3-year bachelor degree programme or equivalent in any discipline recognized by a) All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), or b) UGC. the bachelor degree, the candidate must also have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (or GPA of 5.50 on a 10-point scale).
candidate must also have a minimum of 2 years of post-degree managerial, entrepreneurial and/or professional work experience and the candidate must be below 45 years of age as on 01 July 2006.
idates short-listed for Group Discussion / Interview will be required to submit a copy of the last salary slip and a copy of their current appointment letter from their employer at the time of Group Discussion / Interview. Candidates may instead submit a No Objection Certificate from their current employer to pursue this 3-year programme and it will be preferred. It may be useful for candidates to have sponsorship from their employer.
Admission Process:
Candidates must check that they meet the eligibility requirements for admission to this programme. Admission will be through a competitive written examination conducted by IIM Lucknow at NOIDA and/or New Delhi on April 9, 2006 (Sunday). The written examination will be on the pattern of Common Admission Test (CAT) of IIMs. The short-listed candidates after the written examination will go through a group discussion and personal interview.

Reservation Criteria:
15% and 7.5% of the seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, respectively, and 3% seats are reserved for Persons with Disability (PWD) who fulfill the admission requirements. The three categories of disability are: (a) low-vision/blindness, (b) hearing impairment, and (c) locomotor disability/cerebral palsy.
Test Center: New Delhi and/or Noida
The completed application (online or through mail) with proof of paying application fee must be received by the Admissions Office, IIM Lucknow latest by 5 pm on March 9, 2006. The application fee once paid is non-refundable. Incomplete Application Form will be rejected.
How to Apply:
There is an application fee of Rs. 1500 (Rupees one thousand and five hundred only) for all candidates except for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category who will pay Rs. 750 (Rupees seven hundred and fifty only) if they attach a copy of their caste certificate with the completed application form. Applications without the fee or less than the requisite fee will be rejected.

Download and print the application form, which is in a MS-Word format, on A4 size good quality paper.
Paste one passport size photograph with glue at the space provided on the application form, attach two additional passport size photographs (do not staple) and complete all other parts of the application form.
Mail the completed application form enclosing the DD / Cheque of Rs. 1500 / Rs. 750 as applicable, Caste or Disability certificates to the Admissions Office, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, Prabandh Nagar, IIM Road, Off Sitapur Road, Lucknow - 226013. It is recommended that the completed Application Form with enclosure is sent by Registered Post / Speed Post so as to reach the Admissions Office, IIM Lucknow before closing time on the last date for receiving the application form.
