IBSAT Icfai Business Studies Aptitude Test
The Application Modalities are with reference to IBSAT 2006, the Common Admission Test for the PG Programs of Icfai Business School (IBS), Icfai School of Financial Studies (ISFS), Icfai School of Banking Studies (ISBS), Icfai School of Marketing Studies (ISMS), Icfai School of Human Resource Development (ISHRD).
IBSAT (Icfai Business Studies Aptitude Test): IBSAT is based on GMAT® format with multiple choice questions and tests the applicants abilities in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, vocabulary, writing skills, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. Admission Calendar
Last date for receipt of completed Application Form is November 30, 2006 (Please submit the Application Form as early as possible to improve the chances of getting the test center of your choice).

* By IBS Eligibility Criteria
Graduation (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) from any discipline, (English medium) with 50% and above aggregate marks.
Selection Process
The selection process comprises of IBSAT and interviews. Applicants are required to write the IBSAT 2006. Alternatively, GMAT® scores are also accepted by IBS. The GMAT® code number of IBS is 7061. The applicants short-listed on the basis of their performance in the IBSAT 2006 are called for the interviews. The IBSAT scores will be made available to the participating institutions namely Icfai Business School, Icfai School of Financial Studies, Icfai School of Banking Studies, Icfai School of Marketing Studies and Icfai School of Human Resource Development. Each Participating Institution determines its own cut-off scores of IBSAT 2006 and calls the students for interviews. The students short listed for interviews will be supplied with a copy of the official prospectus and application material of the respective Participating Institutions.
The filled in OMR Application Form should be sent to the Admissions Officer, through speed post or courier, at the following address.

Icfai accepts only crossed demand drafts of any commercial bank, drawn in favor of “Icfai A/c IBSAT 2006″ payable at Hyderabad. Other modes of payment like cash/money order/cheque/credit card will not be accepted.
Last Date
The last date for receipt of completed Application Form is November 30, 2006.
All applicants are advised to adhere to the last date prescribed for the submission of the application form so that necessary arrangements can be made for conducting IBSAT 2006.
GMAT ®
Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)®: Applicants with GMAT® scores are not required to apply through the OMR Application Form. Instead they are required to download the Personal Data Form (PDF) from the website www.icfai.org/ibsat (or request PDF from CPAD HQ, Hyderabad), complete the same, attach the GMAT® score report and send it to the Admissions Officer (IBSAT 2006), CPAD HQ, Hyderabad along with a DD for Rs.900 towards application processing fee.
Online Registration
Applicants interested in registering for the IBSAT 2006 can fill up the online Registration Form available at www.icfai.org/ibsat and make payment of Rs.900 towards cost of IBSAT 2006 bulletin and application processing fee, using credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Citibank Card) through secure internet payment gateway.
Applicants registering online should attach their scanned color photograph along with the online application.
Online Admit Card
All applicants who have submitted their filled in Application Form for IBSAT 2006 are eligible to download Online Admit Cards. Students can download their Admit Cards from www.icfai.org/ibsat, using the application number and date of birth as user name and password respectively from October 15, 2006 onwards. The online admit card will carry the photo, name, address, roll number of the applicant, and the test date, timings and details of the test center. No hard copies of Admit Cards will be sent by mail. The admit card is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a punishable offence under law.
Test Centers
The applicants can choose any one of the 173 test centers available for IBSAT 2006. Click here for the list of all the test centers. Please note that requests for change of test center will not be entertained under any circumstances. In the event of not having enough seats at the requested test center, applicants will be allotted the nearest alternative center, under intimation to them through e-mail. CPAD reserves the right to add or delete a few test centers depending upon the situation. The same will be intimated on www.icfai.org/ibsat for the benefit of applicants.
All applicants should carry with them one of the following proofs of identity:
Passport
Photo Credit Card
Driving License
Photo Identity Card (issued by any authorized institution with seal).
Only on producing the proof of identity at the test center, the applicants are allowed to write IBSAT 2006.
Interviews
The applicants shortlisted on the basis of their performance in IBSAT 2006 will be called for participation in the interview by IBS in February 2007. The interview process for each applicant will be completed in one day. The interview call letters will be mailed by IBS on or before January 12, 2007. Other participating institutions will send their interview call letters later.
Commencement of Classes
May 01, 2007 for all PG Programs.
E-Mail
All applicants are mandatorily required to indicate their e-mail ID, as all important information relating to IBSAT 2006 will be intimated to the applicants by e-mail.
Similarly all applicants are required to send their letters/ correspondence by e-mail only to: cpadhq@icfai.org clearly indicating their names and Application Number of IBSAT 2006.
Strict ban against Canvassing/Recommendations
All admissions are strictly based on merit only. There is no NRI quota or management quota or any other quota. Hence, the students and their parents are strictly advised not to resort to any canvassing, directly or indirectly, to support their applications. Canvassing in any form is strictly prohibited and will be considered as a serious disqualification.
