09.00 - 12.00 Hrs: Paper1

14.00 - 17.00 Hrs: Paper 2

Paper-1 and Paper-2 will each have three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Both the papers will be of objective type, designed to test comprehension and analytical ability of candidates.

Pattern Of Examination:

The examination will consist of two papers, each of three hours duration. Paper - 1 and Paper - 2 will each have three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Both papers will be of objective type, designed to test comprehension and analytical ability of candidates.

Aptitude tests for B.Arch. and B. Des. Programmes will be conducted for those candidates who qualify in JEE and are desirous of joining these programmes.

Syllabus for this examination is available on the websites of all IITs and will also be given in the Information Brochure of JEE-2007.

Reservation Of Seats IIT JEE 2007:

» 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST candidates with relaxed qualifying norms for admission. SC/ST candidates, who do not qualify for admission to the UG courses, may be offered admission to the Preparatory Course of one-year duration provided (i) seats are available, (ii) candidates satisfy minimum norms, and (iii) candidates have not undergone the Preparatory Course earlier in any of these institutes. Candidates successfully completing the Preparatory Course will be offered admission to the first year in the academic year 2008-09 without appearing in JEE again.

» 3% for PD, including leprosy-cured candidates, who are otherwise fit to pursue the course and who qualify for admission under relaxed norms relevant for this category.

» Reservation for OBC candidates, if any, would be communicated through newspaper advertisements/IIT websites as and when the government order for the same is issued.

Preferential Allotment Of Seats IIT JEE 2007:

Two seats in each Institute will be preferentially allotted to children of defence/ paramilitary personnel killed or permanently disabled in action during war or peacetime operations and who qualify in the General Category.

Joint Admission Test to M.Sc. (JAM) 2007

Joint Admission Test to M.Sc. (JAM) 2007 will be geld on March 25, 2007 (Sunday) at 34 cities in the country Admission to two year M.Sc. programmes at all IITs, three year MCA & M.Tech. In Applied Geophysics at IIT Roorkee and M.Sc Ph.D. Duel Degree in Physics at IIT Bombay and IIT Kanpur for the academic session 2007 08 shall be made through JAM 2007.

Test Papers: JAM 2007 will have Eight Test Papers, namely, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Application Geography, Geophysics, Mathematical Statistical, Mathematics, and Physics each of three hours duration. The Biotechnology and Computer Applications test papers will be fully Objective type while the other papers will be Objective-cum-Subjective type. A candidate can appear at the most in TWO test papers subject to the restrictions of test schedule with additional fee for the second test papers.

Eligibility for Admission: A candidate is required to quality in the corresponding test paper and must also satisfy the minimum educational qualification and eligibility requirements as specified by the admitting institute. Candidates appearing in the final examination of the qualifying degree are also eligible to appear in JAM 2007.

Reservations: Reservation for candidates belonging to SC, ST and Person with Disability (PD) are as per GOI rules. Reservation for OBC candidates, if any, would be notified on the websites of IITs, as and when Government order for the same are issued.

Application Forms & Information Brochures can be obtained on payment of application fee of Rs.800/- for General Category Male candidates. Rs.700/- for General Category Female Candidates and Rs.400/- for SC/ST candidates during November 13, 2006 to January 5, 2007 from the designated branches of Canara Bank in the country. The self-addressed slip and a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.850/- for General Category Male, Rs.750/- for General Category Female and Rs.450/- for SC/ST candidates drawn in favor of Chairman. JAM. IIT Guwahati payable at Guwahati, which must reach. JAM Office of any one of the IITs latest by December 26. 2006.

Online Registration facility shall be available from November 13, 2006 at http://www.iitg.ernet.in/jam or http://www.iitg.ac.in/jam.

The W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) is a premier University for legal studies and research. It provides for experience based learning under Multi-disciplinary curriculum and imparts clinical method of teaching.

B.Sc./B.A. LLB. (Hons): Five year programme, 125 seats (78 General, 15 reserved for SC, 8 for ST, 2 for physically handicapped, 4 for Foreign Nationals and 18 for NRI sponsored students). Minimum Eligibility: 12th Standard with 50% marks in aggregate taking English and core subject together and 35% marks in each subject. Applications are invited for admission to BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/ BHMS/BNYS Courses for 2006-2007 in Government and Self financing Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu from the candidates passed in Higher Secondary Courses.

The above applications are called for the vacant seats only, available in Government/self-Financing colleges. On the day of counseling, the candidates who have not applied for the above courses up to 26.10.06 can obtain the application in person at Government Siddha Medical College, Chennai-600 106/Govt. Unani Medical College, Chennai-600 106/Govt. Yoga and Naturopathy Medical college, Chennai-600 016 and participate in the Walk-in-counselling.

The candidates are informed that only those who have appeared for TNPCEE 2006 conducted by Anna University, Chennai are eligible for admission to the above courses. The candidate who appeared in TNPCEE 2006 should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the said Entrance Examination in the subjects of Physical Science and biological Science taken together. However, for SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks shall be 30%. The selection for admission will be made based solely on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Higher Secondary examination and in the Entrance Examination.

Application form and prospectus for BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS courses will be available from 17.10.2006 onwards from the Principal, Govt. Siddha Medical College, Chennai-600 016.

Applications are BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS courses and prospectus etc. will be issued either in person or by post on written application with Crossed Demand draft for Rs.70/- (Rupees seventy only) should be enclosed along with the requisition. Delay on the part of Postal Department will not be considered. The applications will be issued to the candidates on all days including all Saturdays and Sundays.
SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying the cost of application fee of Rs.500/-

SC/ST candidates have to produce a Xerox copy of the Community Certificate along with a requisition containing the following particulars for getting the application form.1. Name 2. Address 3. School last studied, 4. Whether the candidate belongs to SC or ST 5. Signature 6. Candidates should have passed in HSC Examination (Evidence to be produced), 7. SC/ST (Tamil nadu) candidate on production of attested Xerox copy of the community certificate along with the requisition as above may obtain the application form by post by sending the requisition with ordinary postal stamp to the value of Rs.70/-

In the case of candidates, who have furnished the marks sheets of the qualifying examination, only in Grades, the minimum marks of the grades alone will be taken into consideration while determining the marks in the Science Subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology.

Age: Candidate should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31.12.2006. No request for age relaxation will be entertained.
The last date for the issue of application 25.10.2006 up to 3.00 P.M.

Completed application with all necessary enclosures should be delivered to the following address duly super scribed as Application for admission to BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/BMS/BNYS/Course 2006-07.

The counselling for the above courses will be conducted on 27.10.2006 at 10.00 A.M. in the office of the commissionerate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Arignar Anna Government Hospital of Indian Medicine, Arumbakkam, Chennai-600 016. The counselling will be held duly following the rule of reservation and on the merit basis.
