The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Combined Medical Services Examination 2006 on 22nd January, 2006.
Salient features of the examination are published herein for general information of candidates. For details regarding Eligibility conditions, Syllabus and Scheme of examination, Centres of Examination, Guidelines for filling up the application form etc. aspirants must consult the Detailed Notice of the examination published in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar dated 10th Sep, 2005
Eligibility:
Age Limit : Must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st Jan 2006. The upper age limit is relaxable for S C / ST / OBC / Physically Handicapped and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
Educational Qualifications : A candidate must have passed the written and practical parts of final M.B.B.S. examination.
Application forms : The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices(specified in the Appendix III of the Notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs 20/- . Each such form can be used only once and only for one examination. In case of any difficulty in obtaining the Application Forms from the designated HPOs / POs the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC’s “Form Supply Monitoring Cell” over Telephone No. 011-23389366 / Fax NO. 011-23387310
Fee: Rs 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC / ST / PH candidates are exempted from payment of Fees. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fees.)
Address and Last date for Receipt of Applications : All Applications must reach the “Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069″ either by hand or by Post / Speed Post or by Courier, on or before the 10th October, 2005.
However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote areas specified in the Notice the last date for receipt of applications by Post / Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier ) is 17th Oct, 2005.

1) For MD/MS/M.Ch (6yr) / MDS Courses -
i. MBBS/ BDS degreee of a university recognised by the MCI / DCI.
ii. 55% aggregate marks in all MBBS/BDS professional examinations (50% in the case of candidates belonging to SCs/STs)
iii. Must have completed the required period of pre-registration internship for 12 months in a recongized hospital on or before 30th Jan,2006
Candidates who have already done / are pursuing MD/MS/MDS in any subject at the time of counselling are not eligible for MD/MS/MDS courses.

Indian Postal Orders, money orders, cheques or cash will NOT be accepted for postal sale. The request should reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi - 110029 on or before 10th Sept., 2005. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS and with PIN code. The following words should be written on top of the envelop: ” Request for Application Form for AIIMS-PG/Post Doctoral Courses, January 2006 Session”. AIIMS will not be responsible for delay in / non-receipt of Application Form caused by illegible or incomplete address.

Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Post Graduate Medical / Dental Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE-2006) to be conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Sunday, the 8th January, 2006 for admission under open merit seats quota in various Postgraduate (MD/MS/PG Diploma & MDS) courses in Medical and Dental Colleges in the country run by the Union of India, State Governments (except Government of Andhra Pradesh and J&K) and Municipal or other local authorities.

Money Order / Cheque / Postal Order / Cash or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted for postal sale. The words “REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR AIPGMEE-2006″ should be written on the envelope containing request for application form, and also on top of the request letter. The minimum qualification for admission to MBA course is a Bachelors Degree (10+2+3) in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/ Medical/ Dental/ Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized Indian Universities.
It may be noted that, eligibility criteria may differ from one Institution to another Institution.
The application form can be filled up and submitted online through www.jemat.org . Alternatively, the application form could be downloaded and submitted to the University Office along with a DD of Rs 600.00 (without late fine) / Rs 800.00 (with late fine) in favour of WBUT-JEMAT payable at Kolkata and two copies of passport size photograph duly signed on reverse side. Candidates applying online should send the DD and photographs to the University Office. Forms not properly filled up shall be cancelled.
The JEMAT written test will be of objective type consisting of following papers each of 100 marks and of 3 hours duration as detailed below:

The duly filled in application form and the instruction booklet may also be obtained by post and from the Board Office on application with an additional fee of Rs.50/-. The total amount has to be paid by DD drawn in favour of West Bengal Board Of Examination,payable at Kolkata.
The application form has to be submitted to the Board Office on or before 17.12.2005 between 11.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on all weekdays, except Saturdays and listed holidays, or sent by post so as to reach the office of the Board by 17.12.2005. PC candidates shall ensure that the application is accompanied by attested copy of PC certificate.
However, candidates purchasing form and submitting the same from 19.12.2005 to 23.12.2005 may do so at Board Office only by paying a late fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred) per form plus cost of Form as required in CASH.
Results will be published indicating rank and rank cards will be sent to all the candidates by registered post within JUNE, 2006.
Counselling for the successful candidates will be arranged at a venue, date and time to be notified by the Central Selection Committee, separately for different categories.
It is to be noted that the Board is in no way responsible for admission to the Colleges. Admission is subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions of the Central Selection Committee to whom the Merit List of candidates is sent by the Board. It does not have any provision for post publication scrutiny, inspection and review and hence will not entertain any such request. Compliance with requirements of the Joint Entrance Examination or even the inclusion in the Merit List does not guarantee admission to any Institution.

ANNOUNCES ADMISSIONS TO THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMMES (2006 - 2008 BATCH)
POST GRADUATE TO THE INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT (PGDIM):
Develops Versatile Chain Management, Systems, and Technology Management.
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN INDUSTRIAL SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT (PGDISEM):
Aims at developing multifaceted Management professionals with emphasis on Safety and Environmental Management. This cross-functional programme includes education in modern operational and general management methods and tools.
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT (PGDITM) :
Provides a good blend of IT and management concepts with emphasis on providing a holistic approach to problem solving using IT. The programme aims to provide total solutions using IT across industries.
All the above are two year full time, residential programmes and recognized by AICTE. The programmes also cover sustainable practices of business management spanning operations, finance, economic and human resources angles and include an industry-based two-month summer internship and four-month industry project.
Placement:
Record of NITIE is 100% since inception. NITIE graduates are sought after by leading Multinational and Indian companies.
ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION:
Engineering / Technology graduates in any branch with First Class (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PD candidates) and with valid CAT score (Common Admission Test). Admission is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview with appropriate weightage to CAT score. Reservation for SC/ST/PD candidates is as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates who are currently in their final year of Engineering / Technology degree can also apply, provided they expect to complete all their exams and other requirements for obtaining the qualifying degree before June 30, 2006. Only short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews at NITIE, Mumbai.
Fulfillment of minimum qualifications would not be an automatic claim for Group Discussion and Interview.
