Description: MTech (Part Time) In pursuance of the decision of the Board of Governors of the University in its meeting held on 20th November, 2002, the Vice-Chancellor established Regional Centres for M. Tech. Courses in its affiliated institutions. The regional centres established in the affiliated College are a part of the university. They are administratively, financially and academically controlled by the university and degrees are awarded by the university.

Eligibility:The eligibility criteria for admission to M. Tech. (Part Time) courses is regular B.Tech./ BE degree of Punjab Technical University or its equivalent with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

The numbers of seats in each course of M.Tech are as follows:

(a) For faculty/candidates from the PTU affiliated College/Institute: 20 (Twenty)

(b) Seats for open category candidates: 05 (Five)

Fee Structure: The fee structure for the M. Tech programme will be Rs. 3500/ per subject. The fee is to be paid semester-wise. A non-refundable counselling charges of Rs.2500/ must be paid at the time of seat allotment.

Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission to M. Pharm (Part Time) courses is regular B.Pharmacy degree of Punjab Technical University or its equivalent with at least 55% marks in aggregate

Submission of Application

(a) Each candidate desirous to take admission should send his / her application on the prescribed application form filled in his/ her own handwriting.

(b) Application form complete in all respects should be sent to the Chief-Coordinator, MPharm admissions, Punjab Technical University, Ladowali Road Jalandhar-144001, so as to reach him on or before 26th July, 2007 (1700 Hrs)

Completed Application form can also be delivered by hand in the Admission Cell, Punjab Technical

(c ) Application not submitted on the prescribed applicationform or not in The candidates own handwriting or notsupported by the requisite Attested photocopies of thedocuments / cerfificates or incomplete Application in anyother manner and received after the due date / time Willbe rejected. All downloaded application forms mustaccompany a Bank draft of rs. 500/- favoring registrar, punjab technical university, Payable at jalandhar.

(d) Application received after the prescribed date and timeshall not be Entertained under any circumstances. Thepunjab technical univerisity Does not take anyresponsibility for any postal delay or loss in Transit.

Admission/Selection will be based on the score point secured by the candidate at the JEE Orissa or MAT conducted by AIMA. Vacant seats there after, will be filled up by the common Entrance Test conducted by the University. However, the candidates intending to take admission through Entrance Test conducted by University should apply to the University. The basic eligibility conditions for such Entrance Test shall include (i) Honours in any subject or 50% of marks in aggregate for pass students.

1. Admission through JEE, Orissa. Vacant seats, if any, will be advertised latter.

2. Admission will be made through Entrance Test.

3. Reservation of seats will be as per Govt. approved norms.

4. Candidates who have appeared qualifying examinations but the results are not published can also apply.

5. However, such candidates have to produce the results of qualifying examinations before the Entrance Test.
