The University will hold Entrance Examination on May 15, 16, 17 and 18, 2006 for admission to various full-time programmes of study at the following 52 cities:

Direct Admissions To Ph.D. Programme :

The University admits a limited number of candidates directly to Ph.D. programme on the basis of their performance in viva voce examination (without Entrance Examination) both in (without Entrance Examination) both in Monsoon and Winter Semesters in the above Fields of Study (except Life Sciences). In addition, Group of Political Theory and Comparative Politics (International Relations) also offers Direct admission to Ph.D Programme.

JRF Holders:

The University also admits A limited number of candidates to M.Phil./Ph.D.and Pre-Ph.D./Ph.D. programmes who have qualified a National Test entitling them to a JRF in Schools of Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Computer Systems Sciences, Information Centres for Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine without appearing in the Entrance Examination.

Foreign Nationals:

All foreign nationals present in India are required to appear in the Entrance Examination at any one of the Centres in India. Candidates from Nepal and Sri Lanka have an additional facility of Entrance Examination Centres at Kathmandu (Nepal) and Colombo (Sri Lanka) . However, in the event of their selection, they will be considered for admission subject to equivalence of their qualifications as per eligibility requirements..

Foreign Nationals who are selected for admission to any of the programmes of study through Entrance Examination are given preference for fee concessions.

Reservation of seats: 15% seats for SC, 7.5% seats for ST and 3% seats for PH (Physically Challenged(Handicapped) (with a minimum of 40% disability) are reserved for candidates belonging to these categories.

How to apply:

Application Forms together with Prospectus can be had either personally on cash payment of Rs. 120/- per set between 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all working days (Monday to Friday); or through post by sending crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 200/- payable to Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhialongwith a self-addressed unstamped envelope of the size of 28 cms X 20 cms. to the Assistant registrar (admissions), jawaharlal Nehru university, new delhi-110067. Candidates should clearly indicate the programme of study for which the Application Form is required on top of the self-addressed envelope. Candidates seeking Application Form and Prospectus from Nepal and Sri Lanka are required to send a bank draft of Indian Rs.250/- or US$ 5.00.Money Orders and Cheques are not accepted.

This two programme develops Industrial Engineers as Technology Management experts for both manufacturing and service sectors. The programme covers subjects including supply Chain Management, Six Sigma, Operations, Project Management, Logistics, BPR, ERP and Software Engineering.

Eligibility and Selection:

GATE qualified 1st Class Engineering/ Technology graduates in any branch. GATE qualifiers get Teaching Assistantship. Admission is based on group discussion and interview with appropriate weight age given to GATE score. Selection of industry sponsored candidates with first class degree in Engineering/ Technology (with a minimum of 2 years industry experience) is through personal interview only-no GATE score is required.

Eligibility and Selection:

First class Masters degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Business Management/ Commerce/ Social Sciences/ Humanities (full time course).
