Details: Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi will conduct 11th All India Competitive Examination for filling up 15% of the total number of seats in 41 Agricultural Universities in 10 subjects of Under Graduate degree Programmes including Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries Science, Forestry, Home Science, Sericulture, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Science & Technology and Agriculture Marketing Banking & Co-operation, and 100% of the seats at National Dairy Research Institute, Kamal (Haryana) in Dairy Technology. There will be no direct nomination of any candidate for admission in any Under Graduate degree programme.

ADMISSION TO SEATS IN PROFESSIONAL COURSES IN GOVERNMENT, UNIVERSITY AND AIDED COURSES IN PRIVATE AIDED COLLEGES FOR THE YEAR 2006-07.

1. Applications are invited from eligible candidates from Karnataka and the wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants for registration for the Common Entrance Test 2006 for admission to first year Medical/ Dental/ Ayurveda/ Homoeopathy/ Unani/ Naturopathy & Yoga/ Engineering/ Technology courses and Aptitude Test 2006 for admission to first year Architecture course in Government/ University/ Private Aided colleges, and also for the seats filled by the State Government in Un-aided minority & non-minority institutions on the basis of consensus* between the Government and the Institutions which are specified by the Government by notification for the academic year 2006-07.

2. The merit will be determined in accordance with the provisions in the Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006. A candidate should compulsorily appear for PCB subjects in case of Medical/ Dental/ Ayurveda/ Homoeopathy/ Unani/ Naturopathy & Yoga courses and PCM subjects in case of Engineering/ Technology courses in the Common Entrance Test and for both Part I & Part II of the Aptitude Test for admission to Architecture course.

Details: Applications are invited for the 11th All India Competitive Examination for admissions to 100% seats of Master’s Degree programme at IARI, IVRI, CIFE, NDRI and 25% seats at all the State Agricultural Universities, Central Universities (CAU, BHU,AMU, and VisvaBharti), and AAIDU in the, field of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agri. Engineering, Home Science, Social Sciences, Dairy, Fisheries, Veterinary, and Allied Sciences for the Academic Session 2006-2007 and award of ICAR’s Junior Research Fellowships (JRF).

Date and Venue of the Examination: Examination will be held on 21 May, 2006 (Sunday) from 10.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. at 27 different Examination Centres all over the country as specified in the Information Bulletin. In no case, even of JRF, claims for reimbursement of travel expenses or cost/loss of any kind incurred by the candidate or the guardian for attending the Examination, Counseling, and reporting for admission will be entertained.
