University of Delhi Correspondence Courses offers Bachelor level courses in Unani Medicine and Surgery. It also offers courses in BFA Painting Applied Art sculpture. The University of Delhi offers various courses in both Indian and Foreign Languages like German, French and Russian among others. It also offers Master of Arts (M.A) courses in all major streams including Japanese and Linguistics.

The University of Delhi was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly. Delhi University (DU) starts the admission process 2009 from today i.e. 1st June. Students can collect the admission forms for various courses till 15th June from the 16 centers made by DU. Cost of one form is Rs. 50.

The Delhi University Academic Council (DUAC), in a bid to avoid privatization and commercialization of education, after an eighteen-hour meeting, has rejected the proposal of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to rate the DU affiliated colleges. The prospectus and University of Delhi Admissions 2009 forms are generally made available from late March to early April. The selection tests normally take place during May and June.

Very large numbers of University of Delhi Alumni have distinguished themselves at various levels - academics, civil services, sports, business, judiciary, etc. and have been honoured with National and International awards. It is a matter of pride and honour for Delhi University to have such eminent Alumni. At the University level Alumni are enrolled as: (i) Member of the Alumni Association, having voting rights for membership of the University Court/Executive Council etc., on payment of membership fee of Rs.100/- as per the Statute 43 of the University or (ii) Alumni of University of Delhi.
