Details:All India Entrance Examination for Admission to MBBS/ BDS Course, 2007 under 15% merit positions in Medical/ Dental colleges.

Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2007 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal or other local authorities in India except in the States of ANDHRA PRADESH AND JAMMU & KASHMIR:-

1. Preliminary Examination - 1st April, 2007 (Sunday)

2. Final Examination - 13th May , 2007 (Sunday)

AIPMT Nature of exam:
Preliminary: Phys & Chem (100) Bot & Zoo (100) [Objective] Time: 3Hrs.
Negative Marking: 1/3, MM 600

Final Exam: Phys & Chem (2 hrs.) MM 100, Bot & Zoo (2 hrs.) MM 100 [non- objective]

Important Dates:

Candidates must obtain Application Forms from the designated branches of Canara Bank and Regional Offices of CBSE only in cash. Application Form obtained from an unauthorized source will be REJECTED.

Completed Application Form is to be despatched by Registered Post/Speed Post only.

Last Date for receipt of completed Application Forms in CBSE is 20-11-2006.

Applications received after 20-11-2006 or by Private Courier Services or any other means will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking.

Announcement of date of JEE-2007 for admission to 1st year of 3-Year BSc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration for 2006-07

National Council for Hotel Management shall hold all India Joint Entrance Examination on 15th April, 2007 (Sunday) 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. for admission to 1st Year of 3-Year B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration at affiliated Institute of Hotel Management all over the country for the 2007-08 academic sessions.

Exam States: All India

Eligibility:

Candidates should have passed +2 stage of 10+2 system or equivalent examination in any stream with English as one of the subjects. Candidates appearing in +2 or equivalent examination in 2006 can also apply.

Upper Age Limit: 22 years as on 1st July 2006 in case of General and PH. Categories 25 years as on 1st July 2006 for SC and ST Categories.

In compliance of the directive of the Govt. of India, Deptt. of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, the CBSE will conducting the Sixth All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE) for admission to degree level courses in Engineering and Architecture in National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, Deemed Universities and Institutions in the Centre/ States/ UTs other than those covered by Joint Entrance Examination/State Level Entrance Examination for paid or unpaid seats based on the score. Tentative list of participating institutions will be contained in the Information Bulletin for AIEEE 2007.

AIEEE 2007 Examination Pattern: Entrance examination would consist of two papers i.e. 1st paper consisting of three parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of equal weightage with objective type questions for BE/B.Tech courses and 2nd paper consisting of Mathematics and Aptitude Test for B. Architecture and B. Planning. The Aptitude Test is designed to evaluate candidates perception, imagination, observation, creativity and architectural awareness.

Scoring and Negative Marking of AIEEE 2007: There will be objective type questions with four options having single correct answer. For each incorrect response one third of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if no response is indicated for an item in the answer sheet. The candidates are advised not to attempt such item in the answer sheet if they are not sure of the correct response. More than one answer indicated against a question will be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked. All objective type questions are required to be answered on specially designed machine gradable answer sheets. Answers are to be marked using ball point pen (black/blue) only.

An entrance test (All India COMPETITIVE TEST) on all India basis will be held in Two Stages First Stage (BHU PMT - SCREENING on Wednesday, 9th MAY 2007 at VARANASI, DELHI, Kolkata and Hyderabad Centres for admission to MBBS Course to screen candidates for eligibility to take PMT - MAIN-2007 to be held on Sunday 17th June at Varanasi Only

Eligibility:

QUALIFICATIONS - Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology & Botany) taken together. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply

Reservation of Seats: Orthopedic Physically Disabled (PD)/SC/ST - Check out the Information Booklet.

AGE: Completed 17 years but have not crossed 25 years as on 31st December 2007 (Candidates born on or after 1st January 1991 and on or before 31st December 1982 need not apply).

COMBINED ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CEE-2007) for admission to B.E. Courses in DCE & NSIT

It is notified for all concerned that the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE-2007) for admission to first year of Bachelor of Engineering Courses in Delhi College of Engineering and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology for the session 2007-2008 for Delhi Region only (85% Seats) will be held on Sunday, the 27th May, 2007. The admission to 15% seats reserved for Outside Delhi Region Candidates (Outside National Capital Territory of Delhi) shall be made on the basis of All India Merit Rank in AIEEE-2007 to be conducted by C.B.S.E. All the candidates belonging to Outside Delhi Region (Outside National Capital Territory of Delhi) are advised to appear in AIEEE-2007 as per their schedule. The criterion for deciding the eligibility of an applicant to a seat reserved for any Region is the location of the School/ College/ Institution from which the candidate has passed the qualifying examination on the basis of which he/she is seeking admission.

The detailed notification for issue of Bulletin of Information etc for CEE-2007 (for Delhi Region 85% seats) will be issued in leading newspapers sometime in the 3rd week of February, 2007. No further correspondence for sale of Bulletin of Information etc. will be entertained till the notification for the same is issued by the University of Delhi.
