Admission Notification: M.B.A. & M.C.A. Regular Programmes For 2006-07

Applications are invited for admission to Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) duration - 3 years -(semester pattern) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) duration - 2 years - (semester pattern) programmes offered in the University Departments for the academic year 2006-07.

M.B.A:

Eligibility for MBA: Any degree.

M.C.A:

Eligibility for MCA: Should have passed any recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 school level (or) Should have passed any recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects of study.

Entrance Tests : Applicants seeking admission to M.B.A & M.C.A programmes are required to appear for the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) to be conducted in May 2006 by Anna University, Chennai. No other entrance examinations will be accepted.

Candidates who are appearing for the final year UG degree examinations during April/May 2006 can also apply for the M.C.A and M.B.A programmes, subject to satisfying the said eligibility conditions before the date of admission. Candidates studied under 10+2+3 pattern is eligible for admission to both the programmes.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be made only based on the performance of candidates in the TANCET conducted by Anna University to be held in May 2006.

How To Apply:

Separate application forms and prospectus for M.B.A / M.C.A can be obtained either in person or by post from The Registrar, Bharathiar University from 17.4.2006 on requisition with a Rs.50/- self addressed stamped envelope (A4 size - 28×13 cms) along with a demand draft for value of Rs.300/- (Rs. 100/- in the case of SC/ST candidates on production of attested photocopy of community certificate) dated not earlier than 10.04.2006 drawn in any nationalized bank in favour of The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore 46 payable at Coimbatore. Please note that cash payment will NOT be accepted. The cost of application once paid will not be refunded.

Note:

Candidates are requested to submit their filled-in applications along with a copy of the TANCET statement of marks to the Registrar, BharathiarUniversity within 15 days from the date of publication of TANCET results. The applications received after the due date will be summarily rejected.
