C-DAC has taken up the challenges to address the need for trained system software professionals by introducing an in-depth Diploma in System Software Development (DSSD) that is structured to meet the industry needs with basic and advanced modules in system software development.

Course Structure: DSSD is a 22 weeks full-time course. The syllabus is divided into 9 modules with an industry relevant project & seminar.

Course Modules: Assembly and Advanced C/C++ programming advanced Operating Systems, Computer Networking, Network Security, Windows Programming and Driver Development, Linux Systems Programming and Driver Development, Grid computing, Software Process Management, Project and Seminar.

Eligibility: Engineering Degree (UG/PG) in Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / MCA / M.Sc. Computer Science. All Applicants should possess sound knowledge in Basic Electronics Micro Processors, Computer Architecture, C programming language, Basic Data Structures, Computer fundamentals, Concepts of Operating Systems and Computer Networks.

Selection Process: Applicants will undergo an Entrance Test (Stage:1). The pattern of the test will be mainly objective covering various technical and aptitude aspects. Duration of the test will be 90 Mins. Selection will be based on the performance in the entrance test (stage:1) and technical interview (stage:II)

Selection for filling up the following Postgraduate Seats for January 2007 session which remained vacant after 2nd counselling will be held on 22.01.2007, Monday at 9.30 A.M.

In case of non-availability of ST candidates, the seats reserved for ST shall be made available to the SC. If ST/SC candidates are not available, then the seats shall be made available to the general category.

All those candidates who have secured not less than 50% marks in the PG entrance examination of the Institute held on 12th November 2006 irrespective of their rank in the entrance examination and who are interested in these subjects may report to Academic Section on the above mentioned date & time along with their all Original Certificates viz.
