a. Age

Candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 27 years as on the first day of August of the year of examination.

b. Educational Qualifications

Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent or higher examination as on first day of August of the year of examination.

Syllabus of Combined Matric Preliminary Exam

General intelligence The syllabus for General Intelligence would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate's abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computations and other analytical functions. General Awareness Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application

Plan of Civil Services Examination

The Civil Services Examination consists of two successive stages: (i) Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and (ii) Civil Services Main Exam. (Written & Interview) for selection of candidates for the various services and posts noted below.
