THE HRD minister reiterated on Wednesday that the IIMs would have to first amend their Memorandum of Association for campuses abroad. He also denied the charge that his ministry’s response to HM-Bangalore’s proposal had come “too late”, after the institution had started groundwork.

Arjun Singh said that before venturing abroad, the IIMs should help students of the country He said his ministry had made a presentation before the Planning Commission for more resources for higher education and hoped they would be made available.
