Course: PG Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX)

Description: Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX) This is a full time residential programme for executives with substantial work experience leading to a One Year Post-Graduate Diploma in Management for Executives. The design of PGPX is built on the Institute’s well established experience of designing and running postgraduate management programmes for exceptionally bright students and a wide range of executive education programmes for practicing managers from many countries. It takes into account the substantial and varied experience the selected executives bring to the classroom. The programme is open to executives of all nationalities.

Eligibility:
Executives who have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline and are 27 or above at the start of the programme may apply. Corporate sponsorship is welcome but not essential. Participants are selected through a rigorous admissions process that includes GMAT (www.mba.com), leadership profiling and personal interviews.

How To Apply:
Application form for PGPX III (2008-09) which begins on April 6, 2008 is available online. The deadline for receipt of applications will be August 10, 2007 with GMAT (www.mba.com) score obtained between April 1, 2004 and August 10, 2007. Course: PG Programme Public Management and Policy (PGP-PMP)

Description: Post Graduate Programme Public Management and Policy (PGP-PMP) from IMM Ahmedabad (PGP-PMP is a rigorous one-year programme in public management & policy with concentrations in public policy formulation and implementation, financial regulation, infrastructure development, and public enterprise management. This is a one-year full-time residential programme.) PGP-PMP has been designed to sharpen skills and to broaden the perspective of civil servants; managers of parastatals, public enterprises, and NGOs; and executives of private sector firms engaged in public management.

Eligibility:
Applicants must have a bachelors degree or equivalent in any discipline and should have seven or more years of work experience by March 2007. They should have a GMAT/GRE score obtained between April 1, 2004 and November 20, 2006 or CAT score from any of the last three CATs. Those without GMAT/GRE/CAT will be short listed on the basis of application rating for a specially designed test at IIMA.

Fees and Expenses: The fee, excluding board and lodging, but including international attachment/ exchange, is Rs.6 lakh (US $ 13,950), and including board and accommodation about Rs. 838,000 (US $ 19,490). For the civil servant candidates of the Government of India, the fees would be Rs.450,000 and about Rs.688,000 respectively. Please see FAQ 27(a) for full details of fees.

Financial Aid: Fellowships to cover part or full tuition and related fee would be available to top 10 per cent of participants. Several banks are interested in offering loans to those admitted to PGP-PMP. Please click on loan schemes from banks for details.

How To Apply:
Admission Procedure: Application form for the first programme (2007-08) which begins on April 1, 2007 is available online. The deadline for receipt of applications is November 20, 2006 with GMAT (www.mba.com)/GRE (www.ets.org) score obtained between April 1, 2004 and November 20, 2006 or CAT score from any of the last three CATs. To ensure that GMAT scores are sent directly to IIMA, please enter IIMA PGP-PMP Code: CQQ-RR:62. Candidates without GMAT/GRE/CAT may also apply but they will be short listed on the basis of application rating for a specially designed test at IIMA. All short listed candidates are expected to spend a day at IIMA meeting with faculty and in a test and/or interview. The admission process will be completed by December 31, 2006. Selected candidates are expected to make their own arrangements for obtaining leave, etc. from their organizations.

Course: Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)

Description: Fellow Programme In Management (FPM) [Agriculture, Business Policy, Economics, Finance & Accounting, Computer & Information Systems, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Personnel & Industrial Relations, Production & Quantitative Methods, Public Systems.

Eligibility:
Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks after 10 + 2 + 3 years of formal education, CA, ICWA, CS with a minimum of 55% marks, or a 4 year / 8 semester Bachelor degree with a minimum 60% marks. Those appearing for their final examinations in the respective disciplines can also apply.

Fellowships: The fellowship covers all academic and living expenses. In addition, student is entitled to stipend of about Rs. 144,000 (including food allowance)

How To Apply:
Interested candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) of IIMs or GMAT/GRE/GATE/UGC JRF (Research) for some of the specific areas
