International Educators Program IEP
United States Educational Foundation in India (USEF) is happy to announce the International Educators Program (IEP) for secondary level (classes 9 to 12) school teachers, teaching English, social studies, mathematics and science at schools in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and union territories in South India. In addition to teachers from India, IEP will bring together teachers form Near east, South Asia, and Southeast Asia to the United States for a six-month professional development program (January June 2007) that will further develop expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills, and increase their knowledge about the United States.
The U.S. based academic program will include coursework and intensive training in teaching methodologies, curriculum writing, teaching strategies and educational leadership. Selected Indian teachers will receive round-trip transportation, room and board and applicable allowances and will travel on J 1 visas.
