Admission season in capital will begin with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) conducting its entrance examinations across the 75 centres in India and abroad. The entrance exams will be conducted from May 15 to May 18.
We will be going to places like Bhutan and Colombo and plan to include more offshore centres in the near future, said JNU Vice Chancellor Mr. B.B. Bhattacharya.
Approximately 98,000 students will be appearing for the entrance examination this year which is far more than the number of admission seekers the previous year. The varsity will offer approximately 1500 seats in 100 different programmes.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will conduct an all India entrance examination for admission to undergraduate programmes in Agriculture and allied subjects on May 7.
Candidates who qualify would be admitted to any of the State agriculture universities. A scholarship of Rs.1000 a month would also be given to them.

The Anna University has written to the Tamil Nadu Government, seeking alternate dates to conduct the Tamil Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Examination (TNPCEE) for admission to professional courses for the year 2006-07.
The TNPCEE Co-ordination Committee, which met here on Friday, sought permission to conduct the examinations either on May 18 and 19 or May 20 and 21, as against the dates of May 13 and 14 announced by the Government. A notification about the change of dates,
