Arch Course in Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur and Jadavpur University during the academic session 2006-2007, on the basis of a Joint Entrance Examination, Will Be Conducted By The “West Bengal Board Of Examination For Admission To Engineering, Medical & Technological Degree Colleges”, Slater Hall, Bengal Engineering And Science University,Shibpur Campus, Howrah - 711 103. Details of the institutions where admission will be available are given in the instruction booklet. Date of Examination: April 22 , 23 and 29, 2006.
Test Centres: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Agartala and different district towns of West Bengal.
Pattern: All question papers in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biological Sciences will be of two hours duration. All questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type.
How to Apply: The Prospectus and Application Forms will be available at the different Branches of United Bank Of India in West Bengal, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Agartala on Cash payment of Rs.450/- or by post obtained from the Board Office on application with an additional fee off Rs.50/- by Demand Draft drawn in favor of “West Bengal Board Of Examination” along with two self addressed slips of size 2″ x 5″. Application forms will be available from 14.11.05 to 17.12.05.

The duly filled in application form and the instruction booklet may also be obtained by post and from the Board Office on application with an additional fee of Rs.50/-. The total amount has to be paid by DD drawn in favour of West Bengal Board Of Examination,payable at Kolkata.
The application form has to be submitted to the Board Office on or before 17.12.2005 between 11.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on all weekdays, except Saturdays and listed holidays, or sent by post so as to reach the office of the Board by 17.12.2005. PC candidates shall ensure that the application is accompanied by attested copy of PC certificate.
However, candidates purchasing form and submitting the same from 19.12.2005 to 23.12.2005 may do so at Board Office only by paying a late fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred) per form plus cost of Form as required in CASH.
Results will be published indicating rank and rank cards will be sent to all the candidates by registered post within JUNE, 2006.
Counselling for the successful candidates will be arranged at a venue, date and time to be notified by the Central Selection Committee, separately for different categories.
It is to be noted that the Board is in no way responsible for admission to the Colleges. Admission is subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions of the Central Selection Committee to whom the Merit List of candidates is sent by the Board. It does not have any provision for post publication scrutiny, inspection and review and hence will not entertain any such request. Compliance with requirements of the Joint Entrance Examination or even the inclusion in the Merit List does not guarantee admission to any Institution.
