Course: General Nnursing and Midwifery
Description: General Nursing and Midwifery (Applications are invited for admission to three & half year Diploma Course in General nursing and Midwifery commencing from 1st August 2006. The reservation for S/C & S/T candidates will be as per Government Rules out of the Total No. of seats made available for admission. Only women candidates are eligible for admission.)

Age: 17 years to 22 years as on 31 st July 2006 (Upper age limit relaxable upto 5 years in case of S/C & S/T candidates and upto 35 years for Auxiliary Nurse Midwifes).
Educational Qualification: 10 + 2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of five subjects (relaxable by 5% for S/C & S/T candidates) with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) passing in English is compulsory in 12th Class.
Candidates will be interviewed for final selection.
How To Apply:
A candidate seeking admission to the School of Nursing shall submit completed application on the prescribed form (Annexure I & II) obtainable from the office of the Principal Tutor, School of Nursing by producing 12th Class original marksheet and age proof and on submission of Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque amounting to Rs. 250/- (Rs. Two Hundred Fifty only) payable at New Delhi favoring “The Principal & Medical Superintendent LHMC & Associated Hospital, New Delhi”.
It can be obtained either in person or by post, (if by post enclose self addressed and stamped envelope size 30×22 cms). No other mode of payment will be accepted.
It is in the interest of the candidates to send the application through Registered / Speed Post to avoid the delay.

Date for sale of prospectus is 12th June 2006 - 21st June 2006 by hand or by post between 10 a.m. and 12 Noon on all working days.
Dates for receipts of complete application forms (by post only) till 24th June 2006 at 4.00 p.m. “NO COURIER SERVICES WILL BE ENTERTAINED”.
Candidate applying for admission to the aforesaid Course will be required to appear at Screening Test (Objective type) followed by Interview.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the test/ Interview.
