Ayurveda Vachaspati [M.D. / M.S. (AY.)] Course
Applications on the prescribed forms are invited up to 15.06.2006 till 5.00 PM, for the Entrance Test for admission to three year PG Course of Ayurveda Vachaspati [M.D. / M.S. (Ayurveda)] in this institute in the following subjects:
Agada Tantra, Vyavahara Ayurveda evam Vidhi Vaidyaka (Subject to Central Govt. Approval)
Dravya Guna Vigyana
Kayachikitsa
Kaumarbhritya
Pancha Karma
Prasooti tantra & Stree Roga (subject to central Govt. Approval)
Rasa shastra & Bhaishajya kalpana
Roga and vikriti vigyan
Samhita
Shalya tantra
Sharira kriya
Sharira rachana
Swastha vritta
A stipend of Rs. 7000/- P.M. in first year, Rs.7500/- in second year and Rs.8000/- in third year plus DA is presently available during the course of study on satisfactory performance.
Maximum possible seats are 55.1 seat in each specialty (i.e. total 11) is reserved for nominees of central government and 3 seats are reserved for BIMSTEC countries candidates including 1 seat for sri lankan candidate for which there will be no entrance test. Therefore the entrance test will be conducted for a maximum of 41 seats. The total admission will be further restricted subject to other provisions of the University / CCIM etc.
All candidates, including various nominees except the BIMSTEC candidates nominated by the respective countries and approved by the ministry of health & family welfare, Govt. of India have to apply in the prescribed form.
Qualification for Admission:
Ayurvedacharya degree (Bachelor of Ayurvedic medicine and Surgery) of University of rajasthan OR any equivalent examination recognized by the University of Rajasthan / Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur.
Must have completed six or twelve months rotating internship / house job, as the case may be, after passing the qualifying examination as stipulated by CCIM by 04.09.2006
The admission test will be held on Sunday, 30.07.2006 at Jaipur.
No TA or DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the admission test.
Application forms and prospectus with other details can be obtained from 26.05.2006 either by hand from the office of the director institute by depositing Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 700/- for SC / ST candidates) up to 16.06.2006 payable in favour of “Director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur”. Only demand drafts will be an accepted for sending the from by post.
No request for issue of application form by post will be entertained after 16.06.2006.
The filled in application forms should reach the office of the director by 5.00 PM on 30.06.2006.
The relevant details like prospectus, forms etc. are also available at our Web site: www.nia.nic.in Interested candidates may download the application form from the Website and submit the same duly filled along with attested copies of all relevant certificates etc. with a DD for Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of “Director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur”. The last date of receipt of the application form is 30.06.2006 till 5.00 PM and any form received after the data will not be accepted or entertained in any circumstances. Applicants are advised to obtain and send the form well in advance to avoid any postal delay. The institute will not be responsible for any postal delay.
Research fellowship in the following departments to undertake advance study in ayurveda:

Maulika siddhanta
Roga and vikriti vigyana

Shalya tantra
Applications on the prescribed forms are invited for two-research fellowship in each of the above departments of this institute up to 30.06.2006. The prescribed application form along with rules and other information can be obtained from the institute on payment of a Demand Draft worth Rs.550/- drawn in favour of “Director, National institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur” by post or on a cash payment of Rs.500/- at the institute counter.
Eligibility: Candidates should possess the degree of Ayurveda vachaspati (M.D. / M.S. Ayu.) in concerned subject along with the degree of Ayurvedacharya (B.A.M.S) with 55% marks from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur or their equivalent examinations recognized by the Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur / CCIM.
Reservation: 10% fellowships are reserved for SC / ST candidates. One seat is reserved for candidates nominated by BIMSTEC countries through ICCR.
Age limit: the maximum age as on 1.1.2007 for a male candidate is 35 years and for a female candidate 45 years.
Fellowship Amount: An amount of Rs.8275/- per month for first year and Rs.8550/- for subsequent years plus DA as per rules shall be paid as fellowship.
The research work done during the period of fellowship can be submitted to the Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur for the award of “Ayurveda vidya varidhi” (Ph.D. Ayurveda).
The director reserves the right to accept or reject any application form or to cancel any admission without assigning any reason thereof.
