In a bid to revamp security, Northern Railways has sought help from IIT-Delhi to carry out an extensive survey of its railway stations. Project in-charge Professor DT Sahni today led a team to see how security can be strengthened at the Old Delhi Railway Station. A senior railway official said: The Railways are 150 years old and not well-equipped to cope with any terror attack. Rattled by the blasts in the Samjhauta Express and the loss of innocent lives in that incident, the Railways has sought the help of experts to revamp and overhaul the entire security set -up and system at the Railway stations and inside the trains.
