Qualification: Selection to the course is purely on Merit Basis. The marks obtained in matriculation or equivalent examinations conducted by various Boards with Mathematics, Science and English as compulsory subject. Those who have secured 60% and above marks in PC.M. Group in + 2 Science, ITI trained in trades or Welder, Fitter, Diesel Fitter / Motor Mechanic, are given additional 10 credit marks to the merit list. For example candidates securing 60% in matriculation without any additional qualification will get 10 credit marks those who have got ITI or P.C.M 60 % will get 10 additional credit marks i.e. 10 + 10 credit marks. Only Indian Nationals can apply for training.

Age: 17 years six months to 20 years as on date of admission.
Eye-sight: 6/6 in both eyes and without colour blindness,
Height: 158 cm
Weight: 48 Kg

Duration of course: Six months

Date of Admission: 1st January 2007

Course fees: Rs. 50000/- inclusive of lodging, boarding and uniform etc.

Seat capacity: The present seat capacity is 30. (15 % of the seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates. 10 % of the seates are reserved for sons of Paradip Port employees. For the rest of the seats, Orissa candidates and outside State candidates as per merit list will be considered for selection for training.)

Fees: Total training cost is Rs. 50,000/- for the entire course which includes boarding, lodging, tuition fees, uniform and bedding.

Application forms and prospectus can be had on payment of Rs. 100/- in shape of a demand draft drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of Orissa Maritime Academy payable at Paradip.
