Eligibility of Stenographers Grade ‘c’ Exam

Eligibility

a.Age:

A candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on the first day of the January of the year in which the examination is held.

The upper age may be relaxed in respect of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and such other categories of persons as may from time to time be notified in this behalf by the Government of India to the extent and subject to the conditions, notified in respect of category.

b. Educational Qualifications:

A candidate should have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent or higher examination from a recognized University or Educational Board.

The examination comprises:

a.Part A

Written Test

b. Part A

Shorthand Tests in Hindi or in English for those who qualify at the written test.

Part A

The subjects of the examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks for each subject will as follows:

I General Test (Objective) General English 200 2 Hrs
General Knowledge
II Essay 100 2 Hrs

Part B

Shorthand Test in Hindi or English for those who qualify in the written test-300 marks.

Note:

a. Paper II of the written examination shall be evaluated of only those candidates who attain a minimum qualifying standard in Paper 1 as may be fixed at the discretion of the Commission.

b. Paper in General Knowledge and General English will consist of the Objective Type Questions.

c. Papers in Essay and General Knowledge will be set both in English and in Hindi.

Introduction of Income-Tax/Excise Inspectors Exam

Introduction

The Staff Selection Commission (S.S.C.) conducts this examination every year for recruitment to the following posts:

a. Inspectors’ of Central Excise in different Collectorates of Central Excise.

b. Examiner (Ordinary Grade) in Custom House at Mumbai, Calcutta, Goa, Cochin, Chennai and Vishakhapatnam.

c. Preventive Officer (Ordinary Grade) in Custom Houses at Mumbai, Calcutta, Goa, Cochin, Chennai and Vishakhapatnam.

d. Inspector of Income Tax in different charges of the Commissioner of Income-Tax.

e. Assistant Enforcement Officers in the Directorate of Enforcement (FERA).

The examination is held once a year, generally in the month of April. Blank application forms and other particulars are usually published in the Employment News in November of last year. The last date for the submission of application is usually the last week of December of last year.

Eligibility

a. Age:

A candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on the first July of the year of examination. The upper age limit is relaxable in respect of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes Other Backward Classes, Departmental candidates and such other categories of persons as may be decided from time to time.

b. Educational Qualifications:

A candidate must hold degree of a recognized University, or equivalent.

The examination comprises: Written Examination in subjects set out as follows

Interview for Personality Test for such candidates as may qualify in the Written Test.

The subjects of the examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks for each subject will be as follows:

Introduction of Divisional Accountants /Auditors / U.D.C. Exam

Introduction

This examination is held every year for recruitment to the following posts:

a. Divisional Accountants in the various Offices of Accountants General (A & E) under Comptroller and Auditor General of India;

b. Auditors’ in the Offices of the Accountant General (Audit) in various States and other Audit and Accounts Offices under the Comptroller and Auditor-General;

c. Auditors’ in the Defence Accounts Department;

d. Junior Accountants in the various Departmentalized Accounts Offices in the Central Ministries/Department;

e. Upper Division Clerks in the Offices under the charge of various Commissioners of Income-Tax;

f. Upper Division Clerks in the Offices under the formation of various Collectorates of Central Excise and Customs.

The examination is held usually in the month of March. Blank application forms and other particulars are published in the Employment News in the month of October of the previous year. The last date for the submission of application is usually in the 2nd week of November every year.
