The Combined Graduate Prelim Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for selecting the candidates for the main examinations for the following recruitments:

Common Proficiency Test 2007 (CPT 2007)

Important Announcement: 1st December, 2006
The next Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of the institute will be held on 4th February 2007 from 9.00 AM to 2.30 P.M. in 98 cities in India.
The sale of Information Brochures containing the application forms for the aforesaid Test would commence from 5th December 2006. The last date for sale and receipt of filled in application forms is 26th December 2006.

Eligibility
a. Age
Candidate's age must lie between [a] 20 to 27 years for Assistant Grade & SIs in CBI [b] 18 to 27 years for inspectors of CE/IT & Div. Acctts/Auditors/UDCs, etc., (c) 20 to 25 years for SIs in CPOs on the first day of the August of the year of Examination.
The upper age limit may be relaxed in respect of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and such other categories of person as may, from time to time, notified in the behalf by the Government of India to the extent and subject to the conditions

Dates for talent Exam Announced
New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) announced dates for its National Talent Search Examination for 2007. It offers 1,000 scholarships for students of Class VIII and X.
According to an official release issued by the NCERT, as per the new scheme from this year, students will be offered scholarship from Class VIII and Class X. Seats are also reserved for students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. All states and union territories will make selections for Stage-I exams and the qualifying students will be eligible for the Stage-II examination,

4th National Certification Examination For Energy Managers and Energy Auditor- 2007
As per the Energy Conservation Act 2001, it is mandatory for the designated consumers to get Energy audit conducted by an Accredited Energy Auditor (under clause 14(i)]. BEE has been empowered to specify the qualification criteria and procedures for the certification of Energy Managers and qualifications for Accredited Energy Auditors.
The passing of the National level certification examination is a qualification for an energy manager to be appointed or designated as Certified Energy Manager. For accreditation
