Eligible candidates will be called for a written test in:
a. English;
b. Intelligence and General Awareness;
c. Mathematics; and
d. Science.
Questions in these tests will be of Objective Type and bilingual, i.e., in Hindi and English. Candidates are required to qualify in each part. Results will be declared on the same day and successful candidates will have to immediately appear for the Trade Allocation Test.

Unmarried Indian citizens (subjects of Nepal also) are eligible.
a. Essential Qualifications:
Candidates should have passed Matriculation/equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate.
b. Age Limits:
16 to 19 years.
c. Physical Standards:
i. Minimum Height: 152.5 cm.
ii. Chest Expanded chest measurement should not be less than 75 cm with minimum range of expansion of 5 cm.
iii. Weight: Corresponding to height and age.
iv. Vision: At least 6/ 12 in each eye without glasses or 6/6 in better eye and 6/36 in the worse eye without glasses, correctible to 6/6 in each
