Grade C Stenographers Limited - Departmental Competitive Examination 2007
1. Selection Commission will hold on 01.07.2007 (Sunday) at Allahabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Delhi, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Raipur, a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for recruitment to temporary vacancies in Central Secretariat Stenographer Service Grade C, Central Vigilance Commission Stenographers Service Grade C, Stenographers Cadre of Indian Foreign Service (B) Grade II, Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service Grade C, Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade C, and Election Commission of India Stenographers Service Grade C.
2. Condition of Eligibility: Candidates must be permanent or temporary regularly appointed Grade D or Grade III Stenographers of any of the Service mentioned above the satisfying the following conditions: -
a) Length of Service: - Must have on 1.8.2007 rendered not less than 3 years approved and continuous service as Grade D or Grade III Stenographers of the Service concerned.
b) Age: - Not more than 50 years as on 1.8.2007 - Upper age limit is relaxable for SCs / STs and certain other specified categories as per Government order in force.
c) Stenography Test: Unless exempted candidates should have passed Commissions Stenography Test for the purpose of confirmation or continuance in Grade D or Grade III of the Service concerned on or before the date of notification of this examination.
3. Fee: No fee for this examination
Applications or by remitting Rs.10/- (Ten) by means of crossed (A/C Payee) Indian Postal Orders payable to the Staff Selection Commission at Lodhi Road Post Office, New Delhi or on cash payment at the Salves Counter in the Commissions office at New Delhi. There will be no application fee for Physically handicapped candidate. The applications forms will be available from 03.3.2007 onwards.
Last Date: Application form duly completed must reach the Commission latest by 05.04.2007 (20.04.2007 for candidates residing abroad or in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands or in Lakshadweep).
