Minimum qualification for admission to first year of LLB degree course is an under graduate degree in any subject from a recognized University with a minimum of 40% average marks. In addition to this the candidate must have qualified in the Entrance Test (LAWCET) conducted by a University nominated by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the year. Eligible Muslim minority applicants are given preference in admissions in order of the rank they secure in the LAWCET examination. The other candidates are then admitted also according to their rank in the LAWCET examination but following the rules of reservation prescribed by the Government. From the commencement of the academic year 2003-2004 the State Authorities under the terms of a notification issued have permitted Colleges to admit a certain percentage of sanctioned capacity allowed to the College, of students who have not qualified in LAWCET examination by way of ‘Management Quota’ provided the applicant has secured a minimum of 50% marks in his or her qualifying degree examination.

NOTE: The Govt. has reduced the qualifying marks of LAWCET from 42 to 30. The Govt. also reduced qualifying marks for Non-LAWCET candidates from 50% to 45% in Graduation.
