Many of the MTech Programmes are run in collaboration with well known Universities in Aachen, Dresden, Karlsruhe, Esslingen, Darmstadt (all in Germany), Monash & Sydney (Australia), East London, Glamorgan and Sunderland (all in UK), Compiegne (France) and Concordia (Canada).

The Entrance Examination will be held on Saturday, 15th April 2006.
The duration of the Entrance Examination will be 2 hours.
The Entrance Examination will be held from 10.00am to 12 noon.
The Entrance Examination will be held in the following 8 cities.

Pattern of Entrance Examination
The Question Paper will contain 110 questions, with a maximum of 100 marks.

All Questions will be of Objective Type.

Each question will be followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate has to choose and mark against the correct answer as per the instructions given on the top of the question paper.

NO negative marks for wrong answers.

Eligibility:
Admission to the above MTech programmes will be the basis of entrance exam marks.

Candidates with Valid Gate Scores are Exemped From Appearing for the Entrance Examination.

Eligibility for MTech: A pass in the qualifying Bachelors Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

Eligibility for MCA: A pass in a Bachelors Degree with Mathematics / Statistics as either the main or allied subject at the degree level OR Mathematics as one of the subjects in the Higher Secondary level or any equivalent degree.

1. VIT website: For downloading the Application form click here. Downloaded form and submitted to the Admissions Officer, VIT, Vellore, along with a Demand Draft for Rs.800/- drawn in favour of Vellore Institute of Technology, payable at Vellore.

2. The Head Post Offices of Allahabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, New Delhi, Pune And Vellore, by cash payment of Rs.800/-. II)

3. VIT- by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.800/- drawn in favour of Vellore Institute of Technology, payable at Vellore, to the Admissions Officer with full address of the applicant

How To Apply:
The prescribed Application Forms and Guide to Admissions 2006-07 which contains the details of the courses may be obtained from the Assistant Controller (Admissions), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh -202 002 on payment of the cost of the form as given below either in cash or through crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh payable at the State Bank of India, AMU Branch, (Code 5555) Aligarh. A Self addressed envelope of 30 x 25 cms in size affixing postage stamps of Rs 85/- shall also be enclosed with the request for obtaining the Application Form and Guide through Registered Post.

The requisitions along with the crossed Demand Draft towards the cost of Form and a self addressed stamped envelope as mentioned above should reach the Assistant Controller (Admissions), AMU, Aligarh 202002 at least one week before the last date so that the Application Form and Guide may be sent to the candidates in time.

The prescribed Application Forms we supplied course wise and therefore the name of the course for which the Form is required should clearly be mentioned in the request. The prescribed Application Form and the Guide to Admissions will be available after 23.01.2006. The prescribed Application Form for admission to M. Phil. / Ph. D. shall be available in the month of May 2006. The Special Information Bulletin and the Application Form for admission of Foreign Nationals / NRIs shall be available in the month of February2006.
