Exam Details:
All India Entrance Examination for Admission to MBBS/ BDS Course, 2007 under 15% merit positions in Medical/ Dental colleges.
Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2007 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal or other local authorities in India except in the States of Andhra Pradesh And Jammu & Kashmir:-
1. Preliminary Examination - 1st April, 2007 (Sunday)
2. Final Examination - 13th May , 2007 (Sunday)
AIPMT Nature of exam:
Preliminary: Phys & Chem (100) Bot & Zoo (100) [Objective] Time: 3Hrs.
Negative Marking: 1/3, MM 600
Final Exam: Phys & Chem (2 hrs.) MM 100, Bot & Zoo (2 hrs.) MM 100 [non- objective]
AIPMT Syllabus: The exam includes all the syllabus upto 12th Std (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). The syllabus is common to both Preliminary and final exam.
Eligibility:
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
He/She has completed 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission. Candidates born on or after 02-01-1991 are not eligible.
The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes
The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.
One Time Exception: Candidates who have already attained the age of 25 years and or availed three attempts or more will be permitted to appear in All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination, 2007 as a last chance.
The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. Those who are taking plus two examination in 2007 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

Candidates must obtain Application Forms from the designated branches of Canara Bank and Regional Offices of CBSE only in cash. Application Form obtained from an unauthorized source will be REJECTED.
Completed Application Form is to be despatched by Registered Post/Speed Post only.
Last Date for receipt of completed Application Forms in CBSE is 20-11-2006.
Applications received after 20-11-2006 or by Private Courier Services or any other means will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking.

An objective type (MCQ) Entrance Test for admission to B. Pharmacy course in Government B. Pharmacy College, Rohroo, District Shimla (H.P.) for the session 2007-07 will be held on July 23, 2007 (Sunday) on behalf of the Director Technical Education, Himachal Pradesh at Shimla, Mandi, Dharamshala and Hamirpur Examination Centres for which the applications are invited from the eligible candidates on the orescribed form available in the Prospectus.
Eligibility:
(i) For admission to 85% State Quota Seats, the candidate(s) should be bonafide/ domicile of Himachal Pradesh. For admission to 15% All India Quota Seats, there is no such condition of domicile/bonafide of Himachal Pradesh.
(ii) Should be a pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects alongwith one of the following subjects: Mathematics/ Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science.
(iii) Age/Date of birth: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1981 are eligible. However, in case of SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years who were born on or after October 01,1976 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University Certificate only will be taken as authentic.
How To Apply:
(i) By Cash: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the Prospectus can be obtained at the University, Sale Counter No,2, Administrative Block, Shimla-5 from 12.6.2007 to 30.6.2007 during working hours on payment of Rs.500/- for General & others categories, and Rs.250/-forSC/STcategoriesonly.
(ii) By post: The requests for supply of the Prospectus by post can only be addressed to the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests) H.P. University, Shimla-171005 accompanied by crossed IPOs/Bank Draft amounting to Rs.550/- in case of General & other categories, and Rs.300/- for SC/ST categories only drawn in favour of the Finance Officer. No request for sending the prospectus by post will be entertained after 22.6.2007, while applying for supply of prospectus by post, the candidate must write the B. Pharmacy Prospectus-2007 is required and complete mailing address in capital letters alongwith telephone number be mentioned.
Important Dates:
The last date for receipt of application forms complete in all respects either by hand or by post in the office of the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests) is 30.6.2007 upto 5 PM where after no applications shall be accepted. By post application is to be despatched by Registered Post/Speed-Post only.
It will be the entire responsibility of the candidate (s) to procure the prospectus well in time and submit the application complete in all respects within the stipulated date, The University will not be responsible for any postal delay for non-receipt or in case mis-placement or loss of prospectus in transit. Entrance Test Notice for Admission to BSc (Hons.); Bio-Tech and M.Sc. (Bio-Tech) Course at SILB (Solan)
An MCQ type competitive test for admission to B.Sc. (Hons) Bio-Technology and M.Sc. Bio -Technology will be held on 16.7.2006 in the morning and evening sessions respectively for admission to above courses in Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The number of seats in B.Sc. (Hons) Bio Technology will be 50 and for M.Sc. Bio-Technology the number of seats will be 40 out of which 10 seats in each course will be subsidized Merit seats for HP. Bonafide/ Domicile candidates passing qualifying examination from Himachal Pradesh Schools or from State Universities located in Himachal Pradesh. Rest of the seats in both the above courses is Non-subsidized seats and the same will be filled from H.P. / Non-HP. Candidates on the basis of this test. The test will be held in University Campus at Shimla.

For B.Sc. (Hons) Bio-Technology the candidates should not be more than 22 years in age as on 1st July, 2006.
For M.Sc. (Bio-Technology), the male candidates should not be more than 26 years and female candidates should not be more than 28 years in age as on 1 st July, 2006.
Educational Qualification:
For B.Sc. (Hons) Bio-Technology the candidates should have passed 10+2 (class twelveth) Examination or its equivalent from recognized Board/ University with any of the three subjects out of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Bio-Tech, Computer Science, Biology with 50% marks or equivalent grade. (For SC/ST candidates marks of eligibility will be 45% or equivalent grade).
For M.Sc. (Biotechnology) the candidates should have passed Bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern of Education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Science, Pharmacy, Engineering/ Technology, 4 years B.S. (Physician Assistant Course) or Medicine (MBBS) or BDS with atleast 55% marks for general and other categories and 50% for SC/ST categories candidates from any University/ Institute recognized by the Himachal Pradesh University/UGC.
The candidates who have appeared in the qualifying Examination but whose results have so far not been declared can also apply but their eligibility for the Entrance Test will be purely provisional subject to the condition that they have to produce passing certificate scoring the percentage atleast prescribed thereto in the qualifying Exams during the day of Counselling.
How To Apply:
Procedure for obtaining the prospectus: The prospectus containing details and prescribed application form will be available at the counter of H.P. University, Shimla and Schoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management Solan, H.P. w.e.f. 6-6-2006 on cash payment of Rs.800/-. For SC/ST candidates the price of the prospectus at counter shall be Rs.400/-. A copy of the prospectus can also be obtained by post (Registered) by remitting Rs.850/- (Rs. 450/-in case of SC/ST candidates) through crossed IPO2007s / Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, HP. University, Shimla. Money orders will not be accepted. The cost of prospectuses also includes the test fee. The request for supply of prospectus by post be addressed to the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests Cell), H.P. University Summer Hill, Shimla-171005, H. P. alongwith two self addressed and gummed stickers. No request for sending the prospectus by post will be entertained after 9/6/2006.

Exam Details:
Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences was given a status of Deemed University from 29th September, 2003 by Human Resource Development Ministry, Govt. of India on the advise of UGC under section (3) of UGC Act 1956 vide their notification No. F-9-11/2000-U.3. We have following constituent institutions, Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Common Entrance Test (UG-AICET-2006) to be conducted by Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni for selection of students to MBBS/BDS/B.P.Th./B.Sc. Nursing/(B.Sc.+M.Sc.) Integrated Medical Biotechnology courses run by the colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences Loni.
The respective Colleges are recognized by U.G.C./M.C.I./D.C.I./I.A.P./N.C.I. for both U.G. & P.G. courses. Candidates who have appeared for and are expecting results on or before 6th June 2006 of respective final qualifying examinations can also appear for the Entrance Test.
Mode of Entrance Test: The AICET - 2006 will be of three hours duration. There will be one question paper for the CET consisting 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), 50 each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each correct answer carries one mark. There is no negative marking.
Eligibility:
Candidate fulfilling the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for AICET- 2006.
1. A candidate must be Indian National, The Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid Passport shall constitute the proof of Nationality.
2. The candidates must be either of 17 years of age or attain this age as on 31.12.2006 (i.e. the candidate should not have been born after 31.12.1989)
3. Candidate should have passed H S C ( 10+ 2 ) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with English, securing minimum 50 % marks (40 % for candidates belonging to Backward classes.) in aggregate of the subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology ( or Botany & Zoology ). The Backward class candidates must attach a copy of the Cast and Cast Verification Certificate along with the application form. It should however be noted that there is no reservation for Backward Class students. This certificate is required in support of relaxation of eligibility criteria if the candidate from Backward class gets an admission on the basis of AICET 2006 merit list but has scored marks at HSC level. In case of admission M.Sc.) Integrated Course, a not less than 50 % marks Chemistry and Mathematics eligible to appear for AICET.
4. Candidates who have appeared equivalent examination and will be declared before Counseling will also be eligible for AICET- 2006.

Information Brochure and Application form can be obtained across the counter or by post on payment of Rs.100/- extra as postal charges from the following Centers from 6th March 2006 onwards on any working day.

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HSE examination (Academic stream of 10+2 curriculums) of any state CBSE ISC any other examination recognized as equivalent there to, with a group of subjects specified bellow and obtained the minimum eligible marks prescribed are eligible to apply for admission to the course concerned.; Group of Subject Specified: English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology; MCI Norm: Candidates should have obtained the minimum of 50% of marks incase (SC/ST/OBC- 40%) taking together physics, Chemistry & Biology and pass in English in the qualifying examination.; Age Limit: Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2005, date of birth given in the HSC, CBSE. ISC mark sheets or in the Birth, certificate / passport shall be taken for computing age of the candidate.
How To Apply: The all India common entrance examination (AICEE) application form and the course application form annexed here to should be filled in carefully and legibly by the candidates in their own handwriting. Candidates should enclose only attested photo copies (Xerox) of the certificates relating to qualification, age and nationality such as HSC Mark sheet, transfer certificate etc. The original mark sheet of the qualifying examination should not be enclosed. They have to be produced only at the time of admission to the degree course concerned. Candidates should affix 3 recently taken passport size photographs in the space provided (i.e. - One on the front page of the application form). The candidates should sign at the top of the half ticket photographs. Demand draft of Rs.600/- (Rupees six hundred only) drawn in favour of the Registrar, VBCT) payable should be enclosed along with the filled in application form. The Candidates Name and the Application Form Number Should Be Written on the Reverse of the Demand Draft. The registration fee may also be remitted in the office in cash while delivering the filled in application in personal. NOTE It the candidates has not received HSC Mark sheet at the time of submission of filled in application, he or she should submit. Attested photocopy of the mark sheet on or before.
Closing Date:
Foreign/nonresident Indian certificate for admission to MBBS course must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and biology and English individually and must have obtained 50% of marks taken together in these subjects at the qualifying (10+2) exam or a minimum of B or C grade in Physics chemistry and biology (B grade in minimum two subjects) and also the foreign qualifying (10 +2) exam should be recognized by the association of Indian Universities. If a certificate is in a language other than English or Hindi translated English version of the same duly attested by a Gazette officer or a Notary should be submitted. They are also advised to take immediate steps to apply to the registrar H.M.C.H, BBSR Orissa along with Photostat copies duly certified by the head of the Institution as stated above and obtain the eligibility certificate well in advance and communicate the same to this office as to your eligibility for admission to the said course. The procedure may take 2 to 3 months.
