Eligibility Criteria for appearing at Entrance Test

a) Minimum age: 17 years on 31st December 2006

b) The candidate must have either appeared at Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC: Std. XII) examination of any board in India, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and with Mathematics desirably) or, if the result of the exam has been declared, he / she must have passed the same examination with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (40% for the backward class candidates).

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

a) Minimum age: 17 years on 31st December 2006

b) The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC: Std. XII) examination of any board in India or abroad, with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (40% for the backward class candidates) (and with Mathematics desirably) OR equivalent qualification from abroad.

Eligibility for NRI / PIO / FN: A candidate in any of these categories shall have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2006. He/she must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (and desirably Mathematics) at the CBSE, ISC, HSC or an equivalent examination. In the case of a student from any school that follows the American system of education, the candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and desirably Mathematics) at ‘AP’ (Advanced Placement) level and must have ‘C’ grade in these subjects.

Subjects and Syllabi for the Entrance Test: The Entrance Test will consist of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The detailed syllabus has been given elsewhere in the brochure.

Students who have passed their Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent Examination from a recognized Board of India will be eligible to appear for the Entrance Examination. Students who have appeared for the above examinations may also apply, but they will have to provide passing certificates and mark sheets within 3 months from the date of admission.

Selection Procedure: All the candidates will be selected through an All India Entrance Test (AIET) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. A Merit List will be prepared best on evaluation of the performance in AIET, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The written entrance examination will be of the objective type, carrying 200 marks to test the candidates.

Age Limit: The upper age limit for applying is 22 years and relax able by 3 years in case of SC / ST / OBC.

2. Along with the dully filled up application form candidate must send a non-refundable Account payee Demand Draft of Rs. 350/- for General Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates in favour of Anand Institute of Management Science payable at Anand.

3. A self-addressed envelope with stamp of Rs. 30/- (for responding by registered post) must be affixed there on, please clearly mention the PIN Code & Phone No.

4. SC/ST/OBC candidate must send attested copy of caste certificate.

5. Xerox copy of certificate has to submit along with the application form but original have to be produced at the time of admission.
