Exam Details: Applications on prescribed forms are invited for appearing in the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE)-2006 for selection of candidates for admission to the FIRST YEAR of the following Degree Courses: (A.) Engineering/ Pharmacy Stream: Degree Courses in the Govt./ Govt. Recognised Technical Institutions of Bihar and Technical Institutions outside Bihar (State Quota). (B.) Medical Stream: MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BPhT/ BThO in Government Colleges of Bihar and in other similar courses of this stream. (C) Agriculture Stream: Degree Courses of Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination-2006 will be held in two stages. The first stage Examination is scheduled to be held on 26th Feb 2006 and the second stage Examination is scheduled to be held on 16th April 2006.

Eligibility: For educational and residential requirements and other terms and conditions, see details in the Prospectus of BCECE-2006. Minimum Age limit: (I) For Engineering/ Pharmacy Stream, there is no minimum age limit (ii) For Medical Stream, the minimum age must be 17 years as on 31st December, 2006 and (iii) for Agriculture Stream, the minimum age must be 17 years as on 1st July, 2006 .

How To Apply: Category wise prescribed Application Forms have specified colour strips on the top of the front page with application. The details are as under: The colour of the strip on top of the prescribed Appl. Form as: For GEN/ BC/ EBC (Black) and For SC/ ST (Red), (2) Number Block of the Appl. Form as: For GEN/ BC/ EBC (10001 to 70000) and For SC/ ST (80001 to 90000), (3) Bank Draft for the amount if purchased from the Institutions as: For GEN/ BC/ EBC (Rs. 550/-) and For SC/ ST (Rs. 275/-), (4) Amount in cash (Including Rs. 5/- as Bank charge) if purchased from the bank: For GEN/ BC/ EBC (Rs. 555/-) and For SC/ ST (Rs. 280/-), (5) Bank draft for the amount if procured by post from BCECE Board. Patna-14: GEN/ BC/ EBC (Rs. 600/-) and For SC/ ST (Rs. 325/-). The amounts indicated in the above include the price of one Application Form inclusive of the Prospectus and the Examination Fee per candidate for appearing in PCM / PCB subject group. In order to appear in Biology along with PCM or in Mathematics alongwith PCB, section 6.3 of the prospectus of BCECE-2006 must be referred to. Each candidate must ensure that he is purchasing the prescribed Application Form appropriate to his category in which he proposes to appear in BCECE-2006 and also the Application number is falling within the corresponding number blocks as mentioned above. It is important to note that use of wrong Application Form will lead to its rejection. Request for forms by post will be entertained only up to 25.01.2006. A maximum of 20 application forms may be obtained on one Bank Draft. The Bank Draft issued by any Nationalised Bank, must be in favour of Controller of Examination, BCECE Board payable at Patna.

Important Dates: Application form must reach the office of the controller of examination, BCECEB, IAS association building (near patna airport), P.O.- veterinary college, patna-800 014 latest by 07th Feb 2006 (5.00 P.M.). Application forms sent by any other mode will not be accepted. In no case completed application form will be received in BCECE board office by hand.

Description: Entrance Examination (PGM-CET 2006) for Medical Postgraduate Courses (MD/MS/Diploma) will be held on Sunday, 29th January, 2006 from 10.00 a. m. to 1.30 p. m.

(1) A candidate must be an Indian National. (2) A candidate who has passed final MBBS degree examination from a recognised medical college situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to Non-Agricultural Universities or to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or from the Maharashtra Medical Council after completing one year internship training, will be eligible for PGM-CET 2006. The Inservice candidates working on the establishment of Directorate of Health Services, Directorate of ESIS and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will be eligible to apply as per the eligibility criteria prescribed by the concerned establishments. (3) A candidate who is undergoing one year internship training and is likely to complete the same by 31st March, 2006 also will be eligible for PGM-CET 2006. (4) A candidate who is domicile of Maharashtra and who got admission under 15% quota of All India Entrance Examination for MBBS and who has obtained the MBBS degree from the University situated outside the state of Maharashtra and has obtained full registration either from Medical Council of India, New Delhi or from the concerned State Medical Council will also be eligible for PGM-CET 2006.

The cost of application form alongwith the Information Brochure of PGM-CET 2006 and Examination fee is Rs. 1800/- to be payable by Demand Draft / Pay Order drawn on any Scheduled commercial Bank in favour of ” Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai. The Application Form and Brochure will be available at the following Government Medical Colleges till 22nd Dec 2005.
