Applications are invited in the prescribed form All India Post Graduate Medical / Dental Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE 2007) to be conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Sunday, the 13th January, 2007 for admission under open merit seats quota in various Postgraduate 9MD/MS/PG Diploma & MDS) courses in Medical and Dental Colleges in the country run by the Union of India, State Governments (except Government of Andhra Pradesh and J&K) and Municipal or other local authorities.

Eligibility:
(1) Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

(2) The candidates must possess MBBS/BDS degree from a recognized Medical / Dental College or a foreign degree included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 AND full registration either from the Medical / Dental Council of India or State Medical / Dental Council after completing the compulsory rotating internship.

(3) Candidates who have obtained MBBS / BDS from Medical / Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to apply. However, candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare / D.G.H.S., New Delhi) to do MBBS / BDS from Medical / Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to apply, subject to submission of requisite documents specified in the Prospectus.

(4) The Candidates should complete the required period of 12 months pre 0- registration internships from a recognised Hospital on or before 31st March, 2007.

Selection Criteria and Procedure for Admission:

1. Candidates must have valid All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) - 2006 Rank conducted by the State.

2. Candidates are required to get registered for On-line-Off Campus counseling by depositing counseling/ registration fee of Rs 300/- in cash/ cheque/ draft in the designated bank and designated branches (list available on http://scbh.nic.in/counseling). Fee along with details on prescribed format (available on above link and Institute website) is to be submitted at the designated bank.

3. On registration, unique ID number to the candidate will be generated. This ID will be used by the candidate for future login. The candidates are advised to keep their ID confidential to avoid any misused by others..

4. Candidates can take part in HSCB/ NIC Counseling activity from Internet facility available in the Participating Institution (PI) located in State of Haryana and/ or from any other place in India where Internet facility is available.

5. The candidate is required to fill in their choice of Institution and branch On-line. This choice can be modified until same is locked. After choice has been locked it can not be modified/ changed.

6. Admission result (i.e. allotment of institution and branch) will be displayed/ available on-line for the candidates who have participated in counseling.

7. The candidates in person are required to report to the Institution (where they have been allotted admission through on-line counseling) for verification of document and deposit token fee of Rs 2500/- to block the seat in that institution.

8. Schedule of 1st, 2nd and 3rd counseling to be conducted by Haryana State Counseling Board (HSCB)/ NIC and 4th & 5th counseling to be conducted by the Institution is detailed separately or can be had from designated website.

Those who qualify in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) with Bachelors degree in respective branch of Engineering & Technology from any University included in the approved list of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) securing at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade, OR B.E./ B.Tech or any other equivalent degree in appropriate/ related discipline from M.D. University, Rohtak or any University included in the approved list of AIU with at least 55% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade. OR M. Sc. Electronics Science/ Electronics/ Physics with Electronics with at least 55% marks in the aggregate. The above list is just for guidelines. The Chairman Admission Committee can consider the additional relevant Branches on case to case basis. Eligible candidates will be admitted on the basis of their merit in GATE. If the GATE qualified candidates are not available, the seats will be open to other candidates and shall be filled in on merit basis.
