Exam Details:
University of Delhi Faculty of Medical Sciences conduct Super-speciality Entrance Test (SET) for admission to following courses will be held on Friday, 9th June, 2006 at Delhi. Interested candidates may apply on the prescribed form.

Eligibility:
The candidate must have passed the Post-Graduate (MD/ MS) examination on or before 31s May, 2006 of the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by the University of Delhi and Medical Council of India.

How To Apply:
The Application form along with Bulletin of Information may be obtained from the office of the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007, against a crossed M.I.C.R. Bank Draft/ Banker Cheque only drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi payable at Delhi, in the following manner:

i) By hand: for Rs.1000/- (Rs. One Thousand only) between 10:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M. on all working days from 17th April, 2006 to 12th May, 2006.

ii) By post for Rs.1050/- (Rs. One Thousand and Fifty only) along with a self addressed envelop of 10X8 upto 28th April, 2006.

Application form duly filled in and complete in all respect should reach the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007 on or before 12th May, 2006 upto 05:30 P.M.

All India Common Entrance Examination (All India Pre-Veterinarytest) For Admission To Bvsc & Ah Course

Exam Details: Veterinary Council of India invites applications for entrance examination for filling up 15% of total number of seats to be filled on Merit in each Veterinary College from Indian Nationals for admission to 1st year of BVSc & AH course for academic session 2006-07. The duration of BVSc & AH degree course is spread over five complete academic years including a compulsory rotating internship of six months.

Eligibility:
(I) A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination (after a period of 12 years of study) the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training or equivalent qualification as prescribed in the Veterinary Council of India - Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education-Degree Course (BVSc & AH) Regulations, 1993. OR Candidates who have passed the BSc examination from a recognised University with not less than two of the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany/ Zoology), and has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

(II) To be eligible for appearing in entrance examination, the candidates must have passed the qualifying Examination obtaining not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. In respect of candidates belonging to the SC/ST or other special category of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required at the qualifying examination shall be 10% less than that prescribed for general category.

(III) A candidate who is taking up the qualifying examination prior to the Entrance Examination, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take the examination but he/ she shall not be eligible for admission to the BVSc & AH Programme, if he/ she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required percentage of marks as prescribed at (ii) above, on or before 30th June, 2006 and submit the documentary proof during counseling, if selected.

(IV) The candidate has attained or will attain age of seventeen (17) years on 31st Dec, 2006.

How To Apply:
1) The Information Bulletin and Application Form can be obtained by post on payment of Rs 750/- for General Category and Rs.400/- for SC/ST category (including examination fee, handling and other charges) through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Veterinary Council of India payable at New Delhi on any Scheduled Bank from the office of Controller of Examination, Veterinary Council of India, A Wing, 2nd Floor, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-110066. While requesting Information Bulletin and Application Form, the candidates should send: -

a) Demand Draft (Cash/ Money order/Indian Postal Order/Cheque or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted).
b) Two plain paper slips with complete address (in CAPITAL LETTERS) with PIN-code.

2) The Information Bulletin and Application Form can also be obtained by hand from the below mentioned places on payment of Rs 700/- for General Category and Rs.350/- for SC/ST category through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Veterinary Council of India payable at New Delhi on any Scheduled Bank.:-

Important Dates:
1) Exam date is Saturday, the 13th May 2006 (time 2 to 5 P.M.) at the centers (cities) stated in the Information Bulletin.

2) Date of Sale of Information Bulletin and Application Form by Hand/Post: 9th January 2006 to 17th February 2006.

3) The request along with Demand Draft should reach office of Council on or before 17th February, 2006.

4) Last Date of Submission of Application: Form duly filled and signed by the candidate should reach the office of the Council latest by 28th February, 2006.

5) For the Applications posted from the remote areas viz. Mizoram, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Lahaul and Spiti districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman &Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, the last date of receipt shall be 15th March, 2006.

Sale counter of bank/ counters other than the office of Veterinary Council of India will not send the information bulletin by post. Hence no request should be made to the bank/other counters for sending the Information Bulletin and Application Form by post. Vijaya Bank or its specified branches and designated sale counters (State Veterinary Councils and University) will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to non-availability of forms from Bank/aforesaid designated centres. In case, copies of Application Forms are sold out before the last date at any of branches and the same are not available with Vijaya Bank/Designated centres of Council, the candidate should get the same from the office of the Veterinary Council of India, A Wing, 2nd Floor, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-66 by sending Demand Drafts as stated above. The request along with Demand Draft should reach office of Council on or before 17th February, 2006.

Description: Entrance Examination (PGM-CET 2006) for Medical Postgraduate Courses (MD/MS/Diploma) will be held on Sunday, 29th January, 2006 from 10.00 a. m. to 1.30 p. m.

(1) A candidate must be an Indian National. (2) A candidate who has passed final MBBS degree examination from a recognised medical college situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to Non-Agricultural Universities or to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or from the Maharashtra Medical Council after completing one year internship training, will be eligible for PGM-CET 2006. The Inservice candidates working on the establishment of Directorate of Health Services, Directorate of ESIS and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will be eligible to apply as per the eligibility criteria prescribed by the concerned establishments. (3) A candidate who is undergoing one year internship training and is likely to complete the same by 31st March, 2006 also will be eligible for PGM-CET 2006. (4) A candidate who is domicile of Maharashtra and who got admission under 15% quota of All India Entrance Examination for MBBS and who has obtained the MBBS degree from the University situated outside the state of Maharashtra and has obtained full registration either from Medical Council of India, New Delhi or from the concerned State Medical Council will also be eligible for PGM-CET 2006.

The cost of application form alongwith the Information Brochure of PGM-CET 2006 and Examination fee is Rs. 1800/- to be payable by Demand Draft / Pay Order drawn on any Scheduled commercial Bank in favour of ” Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai. The Application Form and Brochure will be available at the following Government Medical Colleges till 22nd Dec 2005. Application forms duly filled in alongwith attested photocopies of required certificates can be submitted till 23rd Dec 2005 at any of the following Government Medical Colleges.
