(1) Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

(2) The candidates must possess MBBS/BDS degree from a recognized Medical / Dental College or a foreign degree included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 AND full registration either from the Medical / Dental Council of India or State Medical / Dental Council after completing the compulsory rotating internship.

(3) Candidates who have obtained MBBS / BDS from Medical / Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to apply. An objective type (MCQ) Entrance Test for admission to B. Pharmacy course in Government B. In accordance with the guidelines / principles laid down in the order of the Hon7ble Supreme Court of India in T.M.A. Pai Foundation and Others Vs. State of Karnataka and Others (Writ Petition No. 317 of 1993) delivered on 31.10.2002, and thereafter in the case of Islamic Academy of Education and another versus State of Karnataka and others delivered on 14.08.2003, the Private Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh have formed an Association in the name of Association of Private Medical & Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh.

This association shall be conducting a common entrance test for admission in BDS course for the Academic Year 2007-08 for the seats to be filled by the management on merit cum choice.

Pattern of UPCAT-Dental:
1. All candidates should appear for the Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test (UPCAT-DENTAL). The entrance examination will comprise of an objective type examination of 180 minutes duration containing 200 questions of 200 marks. There will be 50 questions each for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany. The syllabus for entrance examination will be as per the 10+2 examination (ISCE /CBSE / U.P. Board or equivalent). The question paper will be given in English only. The candidate is required to answer 200 MCQs in 3 hours. Each question shall carry equal marks.

2. All questions will be objective type with Multiple (1,2,3,4) choice of which, only one will be the appropriate response and therefore the correct choice. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. Zero marks shall be given to no response and incorrect answers or more than one choice indicated against a question. There will be no negative marking.

Eligibility:
AGE: Only those candidates, whose date of birth falls on or before 31st December, 1990 (atleast 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2007) are eligible to apply. Date of birth as recorded in High school / ICSE or its equivalent certificate will be taken as accepted.

Domicile: The proposed entrance examination will be of All India character and students not only from Uttar Pradesh domicile but also from any part of India as well as Foreign Nationals / Non- Resident Indians are eligible to appear in this UPCAT-Dental-2007, provided the candidate fulfill other eligibility criteria for admission in BDS courses as per the rules & regulations of DCI.

Qualification: The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination i.e., I.S.C.E / Intermediate examination or its equivalent comprising of a curriculum of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from the recognized Board or University. The candidate must have passed in all the above subjects and obtained a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together in the qualifying examination. Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category would require in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English a minimum of 40% as against the 50% for the General category candidates. The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination (XII) and result is not yet available are also eligible to appear in this Test but such candidates shall submit the mark sheet of the qualifying examination (XII) to the member institution at the time of being called for admission.

The completed application form must be sent to AIMA in the printed envelop supplied with Information Brochuer for this purpose. The application received after last date will be not be accepted / entertained.

PTU is conducting admission to:
B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Pharmacy colleges affiliated to PTU comprising of 41 Engineering Colleges, 21 colleges of Pharmacy and 06 Colleges of Architecture.

B.Tech courses in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amristar Campus College two Regional Centres.

B.Tech courses in Punjabi University, Amristar, Campus College and one Engineering College.

Agricultural Engg, course in PAU, Ludhiana

Seat Distribution
85% seats are reserved for candidates of Punjab residence and the remaining 15% seats are open on All India Basis.

The distribution of seats in the colleges affiliated to PTU are on the basis of the following criteria.

Candidates may note that CET merit is the first criteria for admission to Management Quota seat.

For 15% seats in each college-admission will be based on AIEEE (details in prospect) merit. Students applying under this category need not take CET-2006. However, they must fill the relevant admission application form of PTU and submit application by 27-06-2006

Eligibility:
i) For Engineering Course: All those candidate who have cleared 10+2 examination (see note) with pass in Physics. Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science.

Those candidates who have passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh or Diploma/ Certificate course from Sant Longowal

Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal or such Examination form any other recognized State Board of Technical Education.

ii) For Architecute Course: A candidate who has passed 10+2 examination (see note) and has secured not less than 50% marks with Mathematics and English as subjects of examination. OR

The Candidates who possessed qualification equivalent to 10+2, shall also cover 3 year (Diploma) recognized by the Centre/State Government provided the candidate passed the

Diploma examination with 50% marks in aggregate shall be eligible for admission to 1st year of a 5-year B.Arch. course subject to an aptitude test.

iii) For Pharmacy Course: Has pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination (see note) conducted by recognized Board/ University/ Council with pass in Physics and Chemistry.

As compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following optional subjects:- Mathematics/

Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology OR

All those candidates who have passed Diploma in pharmacy from an institution affiliated to
Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial training/Punjabi University, Patiala

or any other University or any State Board of Technical Education provided that the diploma
or the institute is duly approved by AICTE

Admission to different Universities shall be governed by their respective eligibility criteria (Given in the Part-B of the Information Brochure) form any other recognized State ics. TU and submit application by 27-06-2006

How to Apply:
The Information Brochure cum Application From Brochure will be available in all affiliated colleges of PTU/ DTE. Sector-36, Chandigarh, Punjab (Chandigarh)/ participating Universities and selected branches of PNB & IDBI. Submission of Application:
Each Candidates desirous of taking CET-2006 is required to send his/ her application on the prescribed application form along with the examination fee through a Bank Draft for the prescribed amount. Candidates must write his/ her name, address and the application form number on the back of the Bank Draft.

Application form, complete in all respects must reach the Admission Cell, Entrance Test-2006, Punjab Technical University, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar-144 001 on or before 10-05-2006.

Eligibility:
The candidate must have passed the Post-Graduate (MD/ MS) examination on or before 31s May, 2006 of the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by the University of Delhi and Medical Council of India.

How To Apply:
The Application form along with Bulletin of Information may be obtained from the office of the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007, against a crossed M.I.C.R. Bank Draft/ Banker Cheque only drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi payable at Delhi, in the following manner:

i) By hand: for Rs.1000/- (Rs. One Thousand only) between 10:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M. on all working days from 17th April, 2006 to 12th May, 2006.

ii) By post for Rs.1050/- (Rs. One Thousand and Fifty only) along with a self addressed envelop of 10X8 upto 28th April, 2006.
