Exam Details:
University of Rajasthan, Jaipur

University of Rajsthan will hold an Entrance Exam for admission to the D.M./M.Ch. Courses on May 22,23 & 24,2006 at Jaipur followed by Clinical/Practical Exam.

Eligibility:
The candidates desirous of admission to these courses must possess their MD/MS Degree from University of Rajsthan or any other University recognized by Medical Council of India.

Eligibility:

For candidates belonging to SC/S.T. or O.B.C. the minimum qualifying marks is 40%. Candidates appearing at the above said examination my also apply but their candidature shall be valid only when they obtain minimum qualifying marks and pass qualifying examination before the date of counseling.

Rashtirya Sanskrit Sansthan is going to conduct

Pre-Shiksha Shastri Test on 20.05.06 at 10A.M. to 12.30 P.M.
at various centres in the different parts of the country.

Eligibility:
For admission to P.S.S.T. Examination
(1) Those who have passed Shastri/B.A. (Skt.) under .10+2+3 scheme or

(2) Those who have passed two year course of Shastri/B.A. (Skt.) coupled with a pass either in setu examination or in 1st year of Acharya/M.A. (Skt.)

examination or

(3) Those who have passed Acharya/M.A. (Skt.) are eligible for appearing in P.S.S.T. examination. The candidates should have obtained 45% at least marks in aggregate (for SC/ST 40%) in the respective qualifying examination.

The students appearing in Shastri or B.A. (With Sanskrit) final year can also apply but they will have to produce the proof of eligibility at the time of admission

How To Apply:
The booklet will be available from 01.02.2006 to 10.03.2006 by post and by cash upto 17.03.2006 in Sansthan at New Delhi office and at the following institutions on payment of Rs. 450/- in cash or through Speed Post by sending the crossed demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi payable at State Bank of India, New Delhi Service Branch Code No. 7687 New Delhi. The application is to be submitted only at Sansthan Headquarters Office at Janakpuri, New Delhi latest upto 17.03.2006.

Reservation:
50% of seats are reserved for the candidates hailing from specified catchment area of each Campus. Out of this fifty percent 20% of seats would be further reserved for the students passing qualifying examination from the concerned Campus. The other details can be seen in the booklet.

Language of Question Paper: Question Paper will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi (except for English Language)

Marking Scheme for JEE Written Test: For each question you will be awarded one mark if you have darkened only one bubble corresponding to the correct answer. In case you have not darkened any bubble or have darkened more than one bubble, you will be awarded zero mark for that question. There will be negative marking to the extent of half mark for darkening a wrong bubble. There will be no negative marking for Aptitude for Service Sector.

Result of Written Test: Result of Written Test shall be announced on the web site of the National Council by the last week of May, 2007.

Commencement of Academic Session: Academic Session 2007-2008 will commence on 16th July, 2007 in all the affiliated institutes.

Eligibility:
Minimum Qualification: Minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary education or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subject. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2007 for being considered on provisional basis. Provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted to the allotted Institute at the time of admission. Admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents to be produced by the candidates at the time of admission in Institute. Even after admission to an Institute, if an applicant is at a later date found ineligible on account of having submitted false information or testimonials or for having suppressed any material information, his/her admission will be cancelled and the fee deposited will also be forfeited. Decision of National Council regarding the eligibility shall be final.

List of approved qualifying examinations for Indian Students

Plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/ State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.

Any Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India or in foreign country recognized by the Association of India Universities as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education.

H.S.C. Vocational Examination.

Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects.

Age Limit: For candidates from General and Physically Handicapped categories, only those whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1985 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years. For these two categories (SC & ST) candidates, born on or after July 01, 1982 will be eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/ Pre-University Certificate is the only authentic proof that will be accepted. At the time of counseling, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for provisional admission.

Physical Fitness: All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format given in this Brochure at the time of admission.

Scheduled Tribe: 7½ %

Physically Handicapped: 3%

Kashmiri Migrant: One seat in each IHM on supernumerary basis subject to notification by Ministry of HRD

Withdrawal of Candidature at the Time of Counselling: Candidates are free to withdraw their candidature on spot at the time of Counselling. In that case, fee of Rs.10,000/- deposited in the form of Demand Draft / Pay Order shall be returned to them on the spot. Fee so collected shall not be refunded after acceptance of allotment of Institute by the candidate.

Change of Written Test Centre: Change of Written Test Centre within a city will not be considered. Under exceptional circumstances, change of center may be permitted if an application with valid reasons for the change of center is received in the JEE Cell on or before 1st April, 2007 along with non refundable fees of Rs.500/- by Demand Draft drawn in favour of National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, payable at New Delhi. The National Council for Hotel Management reserves the right to reject such request in case the test center will not be in a position to accommodate any extra candidate.

Exam Details: Entrance Examination (PGD-CET 2006) for Dental Postgraduate Courses (MDS) will be held on Sunday, 29th January, 2006 from 10.00a.m.-to11.30.a.m.

Eligibility: A candidate must be an Indian National. A candidate who has passed final BDS degree examination from a recognised Dental college situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to Non-Agricultural Universities or to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and who has obtained full registration either from the Dental Council of India or from the Maharashtra Dental Council after completing one year internship training, will be eligible for PGD-CET 2006. A candidate, who is undergoing one year internship training and is likely to complete the same by 31st March, 2006 also will be eligible for PGD-CET 2006. A candidate who is domicile of Maharashtra and who got admission under 15% quota of All India Entrance Examination for BDS and who has obtained the BDS degree from the University situated outside the state of Maharashtra and has obtained full registration either from Dental Council of India, New Delhi or from the concerned State Dental Council will also be eligible for PGD-CET 2006.

The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, in their endeavour to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students wanting to seek admissions to the Member Institutions, have formed Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka COMEDK.

The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has been assigned the task of organising a common entrance test for the academic year 2007-2008, for candidates aspiring to pursue Post Graduate Courses in Medical and Dental studies in the state of Karnataka, in colleges run by Private Medical and Dental Colleges who are Member Institutions of the consortium.

COMEDK Post Graduate Entrance Test-2007 (COMEDK PGET-2007) COMEDK will conduct a separate entrance test for Medical and a separate entrance test for Dental Post Graduate courses called COMEDK PGET-2007, for candidates seeking admission to Post Graduate courses in Medical and Dental studies. The entrance test is being conducted for use by COMEDK Member Institutions only. The COMEDK entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admissions for the Post Graduate courses in Member Institutions. The COMEDK PGET-2007 test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year 2007-2008.

The COMEDK PGET-2007 will be conducted only at centres in Bangalore on Sunday the 11th February 2007

About Member Institutions: Twenty-eight unaided, private Medical and Dental colleges affiliated to COMEDK, across the State of Karnataka, offer various courses in Medical and Dental studies at Post Graduate level. The courses offered at the Post Graduate level include both Degree and Diploma programs. Claims made by candidates as belonging to Karnataka origin or Religious or Linguistic minority status etc is not verified while sending TAT for COMEDK-PGET 2007. However, if such a candidate qualifies for attending centralised counseling, it will be his/her responsibility to furnish original documents issued by competent authorities to the satisfaction of COMEDK authorities, failing which such a candidate will be considered only under All India General Merit.

Inter-change of category status will not be entertained during the course of PGET process (i.e. students appearing under General Merit category will be considered for eligibility in that category only).

Test Scheme: There will be one test for PG Medical and one test for PG Dental Courses. Each test will have 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQ).

The time allotted for the test would be 180 minutes. The test will begin at 10:00am and end at 1:00pm

Candidates are required to mark their answers in an OMR (Optical Mark Reader) Answer Sheet.

Each correct answer is awarded one mark.

There will be no Negative Marking.

No Mark/s will be awarded for multiple marking (marking multiple responses) of any question.

Eligibility:
Degree / Diploma Programs: Applicants must meet all requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their MBBS/ BDS from an institution recognised by MCI/DCI, and must have completed or completing their internship by 30/04/07.

MCI / DCI Norms: Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate medical / dental course in any of the medical/ dental institutions in the country, shall possess recognized MBBS/ BDS degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical/ Dental Council or should obtain the same with in one month from the date of admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate training restricted to the college / institution to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for Post Graduate studies; Provided further, that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subjected to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his own country from which the applicant has obtained his / her basic medical / dental qualification and that his / her degree is recognized by the corresponding Council or concerned authority.

As per the Post Graduate Regulation 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test (COMEDK PGET-2007) for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50 percent for general category candidates and 40 percent for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (As declared by State Government of Karnataka from time to time).

As specified by the Dental Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test (COMEDK PGET-2007) for admission to Post Graduate Dental courses shall be 50% for all the candidates (Reference: DCI. Letter No. DE 14-2004/1135 dated 05 May 2004).

Rank list / Card will be prepared only for those students who are eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the Medical Council of India or Dental Council of India Regulations.

The process involves the following stages:

Ensure that the DD for Rs.1500/-(Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only), along with all the marks cards and the attempt certificate are kept ready before filling up the Online Application form. Click below link or visit comedk website

Take a print of the filled in Application form and Date of Birth / Declaration form.

The Application form is said to be complete only if it is enclosed with all the documents mentioned below and posted to COMEDK office.

DD for Rs.1500/- should be drawn in favour of COMEDK-2007, payable at Bangalore and should be enclosed with the application after recording application number on the back of DD.

Test Admission Tickets and Related Information

Candidates appearing for COMEDK PGET-2007 will be issued a Test Admission Ticket (TAT) for identification. Candidates are required to bring the TAT and the original declaration form duly attested by the Head of the Institution where he/she has studied last, as submitted along with the application form. This is mandatory.

The TATs would contain the PGET-2007 test centre assigned to the candidate. The candidates are assigned a test centre during the application processing, and no requests for change in centre would be considered.

The TATs would be dispatched to the candidates at the address they mention in their application form, by 02/01/2007.

Change of address, if any, during the process of COMEDK PGET-2007 must be intimated through registered post / certified dispatch to COMEDK office; the responsibility for the same rests solely with the applicants, and COMEDK, is not responsible for the same.
