Educational Qualification for admission to MBBS/ BDS course: The candidates must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 systems with required subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised school conducting regular Classes and situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The candidates must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates must have studied 11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognised school situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Female candidates belonging to Schedule Caste (SC)/ Schedule Tribe (ST)/ Children, Widows & Wives of Armed & Para Military Personnel (CWWAPP) category who have passed qualifying examination from Indian Boards/Universities or Foreign Boards/ Universities may also apply for admission to Lady Hardinge Medical College. The condition of studying 11th and 12th class from a school situated with the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall not be applicable to these candidates.

National Talent Scholarship: To promote agricultural education in the country, National Talent Scholarship @ Rs.1, 000/- per month shall, be awarded to all the finally admitted candidates who join any University? Which is not within the domicile state of the candidate.

Scheme of Examination: There will be only one question paper consisting of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Agriculture for STREAM - A and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for STREAM - B. The candidates may choose any Stream according to their eligibility and choice of the subjects. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. ENGLISH and HINDI.

Reservation of Seats: There would be reservation of seats for admissions in all the subjects to the extent 15% for Scheduled Castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes, 3% for Physically Handicapped candidates, and 2% for candidates from Underprivileged states (UPS) as defined in the Information Bulletin.

Eligibility:
The candidate must be at least 17 years of age but not more than 23 years on or before 31st Dec 2006. No relaxation of age will be allowed to candidate of any category. He/ she should be an Indian National. He/ she must have passed and obtained not less than 50% (for General and UPS Categories) and 40% marks (for SC, ST, and PH categories) in 10+2 examination. Any candidate having compartment/ supplementary in any subject in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 is not eligible for admission. One who is appearing for 10+2 examination in the year 2006 can also apply subject to his/ her producing 10+2 passing certificate on the date of Counseling. A computer based online test for admission to Integrated first degree programmes; I Semester 2007-08

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is a University established under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 vide notification No. F.12-23/63. Eligibility:
For admission to any of the above Integrated first degree programmes, the candidate should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central/State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Since the medium of instruction at BITS is English, candidates should have adequate proficiency in English. Further, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.

Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2007 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2007 test.

Students who have passed the 12th examination in 2006 may also apply for BITSAT-2007, provided they explain the reasons for the gap. The admission committee will examine all such cases before taking a final decision on their eligibility. Students who have passed 12th examination, in 2005 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2007. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT test. Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2007.

However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12th examination, as mentioned above.

In the past, admission process of the Institute always ensured guaranteed admission to all the students who obtained first ranks in their respective board examinations. This has given a very vital input of highly meritorious students from all over India. The Institute wants to maintain this practice and hence, first rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2007 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2007 score.

In addition to applying for and appearing in BITSAT-2007, candidates have to also apply for admission to BITS giving details of their 12th marks and preferences to different degree programmes offered. The prescribed application form for admission, the detailed application procedure and the final list of degree programmes offered will be available at the BITS website, by 20th May 2007.

How To Apply:
Interested candidates should register their names for BITSAT-2007 by applying in the prescribed application form in one of the following modes:

(i) Complete the application form Online by clicking at below links or visit http://www.bitsadmission.com/BITSAT/ and take the print out of the filled form. Exam Details: The Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET) for admission to following courses will be held on Saturday, 11th February 2005 at Delhi. (A) Post-Graduate Degree Courses: (1.) M.D: Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Dermatology; Venereology & Leprosy, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, Health Administration, Microbiology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiodiagnosis And Radio-Therapy. (2) M.S: General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, phthalmology, Orthopaedics And Otorhinolaryngology. (B) Post-Graduate Diploma Courses: Anaesthesiology (DA), Dermatology; Venereology & Leprosy (DDVL), Obstetrics & Gynaecology (DGO), Ophthalmology (DO), Otorhinolaryngology (DLO), Paediatrics (DCH), Radio-Diagnosis (DMRD), Radiation Medicine (DRM), Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases (DTCD), Health Administration (DHA) And Health Education (DHE).

How To Apply: Application Form along with Bulletin of Information may be obtained from the office of the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi -110 007 against a Bank Draft / Banker Cheque drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi payable at Delhi in the following manner: (1) Sale of Bulletin of Information w.e.f. Monday, the 19th December, 2005. (2) By hand for Rs.600/- (Rs. Six hundred only) between 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. on all working days upto 20th Jan 2006. (iii) By post for Rs.650/- (Rs.Six Hundred and Fifty only) along with a self addressed envelope of 10″x8″ upto 06th Jan 2006.

Important Dates: The Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET) will be held on Saturday, 11th February 2005 at Delhi. Date for sale of Bulletin of Information w.e.f. Monday, the 19th December, 2005. Last date for submission of application form by hand is 20th Jan 2006. And By post upto 06th Jan 2006.

The selection of candidates for Delhi University Quota seats of the above courses will be made by the University from the Medical Graduates (MBBS) of the University of Delhi only. Seats of All India Quota in MD (Health Administration) and Diploma in Health Education (DHE) will also be filled up by the University on All India basis. The admissions in RMLH, KH, SJH, St. Stephans and HRH having MCl’s. Recognised and non-recognised seats will be subject to further orders of the Hon’ble High Court, Delhi in W.P.(C) Nos. 4811-20 of 2005. (Vikram Shah Batra & others-Vs- University of Delhi).
