Description: Post Graduate Programme in Forestry Management (PGDFM) (Full Time) The Programme is recognized as equivalent to a Masters Degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)Universities.

Eligibility: The minimum eligibility criteria for admission is at least a three year Bachelors degree or equivalent in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE as eligible for Post Graduate studies with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST or Persons with Disability category).

Reservation of seats for SC, ST and physically handicapped candidates are available as per Govt. of India rules.

Candidates appearing for the final graduate examination are also eligible to apply, provided they complete it by June 30, 2007.

How To Apply: Step 1: All applicants seeking admission in PFM at IIFM, have to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT), that will be held on 18th November, 2007. The CAT application form and bulletin can be obtained from selected branches of UTI Bank from July 16 till August 16, 2007, The last date for submitting CAT application is 8th September, 2007. The IIFM will use the CAT score only for short-listing of the candidates for postgraduate programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Step 2: IIFM Application Form

Candidate should also obtain IIFM application form personally or by sending Demand draft of Rs.700/- (350/- for SC&ST) only, in favour of The Director IIFM, payable at Bhopal. The application form can also be downloaded from the below links or Institute website but in such cases the filled- in forms must accompany a Bank Draft of the specified amount.

Forms complete in all respect with CAT Regn. No. should reach IIFM Bhopal on or before 5th December, 2007.

However, if the candidate is already working as faculty in any MBA department/ institute the clause of minimum work experience will not apply.

A minimum of three year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying exam for general and OBC candidates (40%in case of SC/ST/Physically challenged candidates) from any Indian or foreign University recognized by AIU/AICTE or other Foreign Accreditation bodies. Candidates appearing for the final year degree examination in 2007 can also apply.

Selection Process: Applicants seeking admission to the Programme are required to qualify in Common Admission Test, followed by a group discussion and interview.

Common Admission Test: 4th May 2007, Guwahati the admissions shall be carried out by the State Govt. /Competent Authority/ Association of Architectural Institutions in the State, bases on the marks obtained in NATA and the qualifying examinations as mentioned above in the ratio of 50: 50.

After the conduct of NATA, all architectural institutions in the country shall be required to submit a list is students admitted in the B. Arch degree course, mentioning the total NATA score and total marks in qualifying examination, to the Council.

Advance Registration: Feb/Mar 2007: Agartala, Aizwal, Dimapur, Gangtok, Imphal, Itanagar & Shillong.

The prospectus along with the prescribed application form can be obtained from Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati-29 by sending a DD of Rs.300/- in favour of Director IIE, payable at Guwahati or Rs.250/- in person.
