Exam Details:
All India Entrance Examination for Admission to MBBS/ BDS Course, 2007 under 15% merit positions in Medical/ Dental colleges.

Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2007 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal or other local authorities in India except in the States of Andhra Pradesh And Jammu & Kashmir:-

1. Preliminary Examination - 1st April, 2007 (Sunday)
2. Final Examination - 13th May , 2007 (Sunday)

AIPMT Nature of exam:
Preliminary: Phys & Chem (100) Bot & Zoo (100) [Objective] Time: 3Hrs.
Negative Marking: 1/3, MM 600

Final Exam: Phys & Chem (2 hrs.) MM 100, Bot & Zoo (2 hrs.) MM 100 [non- objective]

AIPMT Syllabus: The exam includes all the syllabus upto 12th Std (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). The syllabus is common to both Preliminary and final exam.

Eligibility:
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

He/She has completed 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission. Candidates born on or after 02-01-1991 are not eligible.

The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.

One Time Exception: Candidates who have already attained the age of 25 years and or availed three attempts or more will be permitted to appear in All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination, 2007 as a last chance.

The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. Those who are taking plus two examination in 2007 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

The AIPMT Information Bulletin and Application Form costing Rs.400/- for General Category candidates and Rs.200/- for SC/ST candidates inclusive of examination fee can be obtained against Cash Payment from any of the following branches of Canara Bank/ Regional Offices of the CBSE between 09-10-2006 to 18-11-2006. Important Dates:
Candidates must obtain Application Forms from the designated branches of Canara Bank and Regional Offices of CBSE only in cash. Application Form obtained from an unauthorized source will be REJECTED.

Completed Application Form is to be despatched by Registered Post/Speed Post only.

Last Date for receipt of completed Application Forms in CBSE is 20-11-2006.

Applications received after 20-11-2006 or by Private Courier Services or any other means will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking.

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary-Class XII) examination or its equivalent referred to as a qualifying examination from a recognized Board/ University for admission to BE/ BTech, BArch & B Planning Courses as under: (1) Courses BE/ BTech, Compulsory subjects: Physics & Mathematics, One of the Optional Subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology and (2) For Courses BArch/ BPlanning, Compulsory subjects: Physics & Mathematics, One of the Optional Subjects: Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, Engineering Drawing. The candidates appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE provisionally subject to their fulfilling the specified eligibility conditions at the time of appearing for counselling. Admission to AIEEE is meant for Indian nationals only. Date of Birth: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1981 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Physically Challenged candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by five years meaning thereby candidates born on or after October 01, 1976 are eligible.

How To Apply: Cost of Examination Bulletin inclusive of examination fee: Rs. 300/- for General category and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates. The Information Bulletin containing the Application Form and other details will be available for sale from 05th Dec 2005 to 10th Jan 2006 from designated branches of Syndicate Bank/ other Banks/ NITs/ Deemed Universities/ institutions and the Regional Offices of CBSE. In addition to the cost of Information Bulletin, the designated branches of Syndicate Bank or designated Institutions would charge Re 5/- extra as service/ processing charges. The Information Bulletin containing Application Form can also be had by post by sending a MICR Bank Draft of Rs. 350/- for General Category and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST category (which includes Rs. 50/- towards postal charges) along with a self-addressed envelope of the size of 12″x10″ (without postage stamps) from the Joint Secretary (AIEEE), Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Sadan, 17, Rouse Avenue, Institutional Area (near Bal Bhawan) New Delhi 110 002. If a candidate fails to enclose a self-addressed envelope of the size of 12″x10″, the CBSE shall not be held responsible for non-dispatch of the Information Bulletin/ Application Form. The applications would be received in the Board’s office only by Regd. / Speed Post and not in person or through any private courier. Venue of Examination: As per the cities stated in the Information Bulletin. Note: Date of exam is 30th April 06. Use of address of any coaching centre/ coaching Institution is strictly prohibited. On the basis of performance in AIEEE, separate rank lists will be prepared for BE/ BTech, and BArch/ BPlanning. Score Card indicating All India Rank with total marks and marks in each subject shall be sent to all candidates appearing in AIEEE. Candidates scoring above a certain cut off percentage of marks (being different for General and SC/ST/PH category candidates) to be called for counselling shall be determined at the time of declaration of AIEEE results. All India Rank and marks shall also be released on AIEEE website. The results of AIEEE 2006 are likely to be declared on or before 15th June, 2006.

Eligibility: (I) A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination (after a period of 12 years of study) the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training or equivalent qualification as prescribed in the Veterinary Council of India - Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education-Degree Course (BVSc & AH) Regulations, 1993. OR Candidates who have passed the BSc examination from a recognised University with not less than two of the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany/ Zoology), and has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. (ii) To be eligible for appearing in entrance examination, the candidates must have passed the qualifying Examination obtaining not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. In respect of candidates belonging to the SC/ST or other special category of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required at the qualifying examination shall be 10% less than that prescribed for general category. (iii) A candidate who is taking up the qualifying examination prior to the Entrance Examination, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take the examination but he/ she shall not be eligible for admission to the BVSc & AH Programme, if he/ she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required percentage of marks as prescribed at (ii) above, on or before 30th June, 2006 and submit the documentary proof during counseling, if selected.
