Banaras Hindu University (BHU)

Established by Parliament by Notification No.-225 of 1916

The Banaras Hindu University will hold an All India Entrance Test for admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences (BAMS) and BPharma (Ayurvedic) courses on Sunday the 20th May, 2007 on its campus at Institute of Medical Sciences (Varanasi- 221005)

Eligibility:
Qualification: Intermediate 10+2 (or equivalent from recognized Board) in Science with 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.

How To Apply:
Application form along with the Information Brochure can be obtained by post from the Office of the Director, IMS, BHU, Varanasi-221005 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with MICR demand draft of Rs. 700/- (Rs. 450/- for SC/ST Candidates) drawn in favour of the Director, IMS, BHU, payable at Varanasi along with two self addressed white paper slips of 6 cm x 10 cm in size. Money order and cheque will not be accepted. The envelop should be clearly superscribed “Application for BAMS Entrance Test-2007, BHU”. The request for application form by post must reach on or before 26.03.2007.

The application form can also be obtained on cash payment of Rs. 650/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST Candidates) from the counter of the main Post Office on the BHU Campus (Near Kendriya Vidyalaya, BHU) between 12.02.2007 and 02.04.2007. The last date for submission of completed application is 05.04.2007 upto 5.00 P.M. The Institute will not be responsible for loss of application form in transit.

The Banaras Hindu University will hold an All India written test for admission to MD (Ay)/MS (Ay) course in the subjects - Basic Principles (Ayurveda Darspan & Siddhant and Sharir Kriya), Dravyaguna, Kayachikitsa (Chikitsa & Manas Boga), Kaumarbhritya, Prasuti Tantra (Stree Roga), Rasa Shastra, Shalya Tantra and Shalakya Tantra] on Sunday the 25th June, 2006 on its Campus.

Eligibility:
(a) BAMS recognized by CCIM
(b) MBBS recognized by MCI (for supernumerary category only)
(c) The candidate must have completed 12 months rotating internship (4 ½ years BAMS course)/ 6 months rotating internship (5 years BAMS course) by 31st July 2006.

Age: The Upper age limit for admission will be 35 years (40 years for SC/ST and Sponsored candidates), on 31st July 2006.
