Procedure for Obtaining XAT Bulletin from SBI and XAT Registration

1. A candidate can obtain XAT Bulletin from select branches of State Bank of India on payment of Rs. 700/- (Rupees seven hundred only)

2. Registration for XAT 2008: The applicant has to log on to the website www.xlri.edu and go to XAT registration. Here he/she has to fill in the XAT form on-line with personal details, XAT Bulletin No., date and SBI branch name and submit the form online. After submission the candidate will immediately get his/her XAT ID and password

3. Once the candidate provides the bank detail he/she can proceed to take printout of XAT Payment Advice cum Photo Form (XAT PP Form).

4. The candidate has to paste his/her recent photograph and give full signature at the space indicated on the XAT PP Form. The candidate has to enclose the third copy of the bank/XAT pay-in-slip along with the completed XAT PP Form and use the special envelope provided in the XAT Bulletin and send it by registered post / speed post / courier within a week, after obtaining the XAT Bulletin. Tamil Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Examinations (TNPCEE) 2007 will be conducted by Anna University on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu on 18th and 19th May, 2007 as noted below for candidates who seek admission to all Professional Courses in Tamil Nadu, during 2007 offered by Government, Government Aided Institutions under the control of:

The required eligibility conditions and other details will be available in the admission application forms issued by the respective admitting authorities at a later date.

f. Your photograph will be taken using digital camera,

2. Application by Post: Candidates who desires to apply through postal mode, have to fill in the application format (For format download Application Form) affix two recent passport size photographs in the space provided (one should be attested) and Signature at the appropriate space. The completed application should be sent to Anna University along with the Demand Draft and a self addressed, stamped (Rs.5/-) envelope (of size 11 cm X 27 cm) for sending the hall ticket by post. For receiving the hall ticket by speed post affix required stamps. Postal Applications duly filled by the candidate should reach The Secretary, TNPCEE 2007, Anna University, Chennai - 700 025 on or before 2.5.2007. Write the name of the examination city where the candidate desires to write the examinations and HSC registration number and year on the top left comer of the postal cover. Other State candidates, should also write “Other State’ on the left top corner of the postal cover.

National Talent Scholarship: To promote agricultural education in the country, National Talent Scholarship @ Rs.1, 000/- per month shall, be awarded to all the finally admitted candidates who join any University? Which is not within the domicile state of the candidate.

Scheme of Examination: There will be only one question paper consisting of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Agriculture for STREAM - A and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for STREAM - B. The candidates may choose any Stream according to their eligibility and choice of the subjects. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. ENGLISH and HINDI.

Reservation of Seats: There would be reservation of seats for admissions in all the subjects to the extent 15% for Scheduled Castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes, 3% for Physically Handicapped candidates, and 2% for candidates from Underprivileged states (UPS) as defined in the Information Bulletin.

Eligibility:
The candidate must be at least 17 years of age but not more than 23 years on or before 31st Dec 2006. No relaxation of age will be allowed to candidate of any category.
