Eligibility: The candidate must be a teacher with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and must be in Government/ Government aided/ Government recognised school with three years of teaching experience in a High School (8th to 10th). He/ She must be below 45 years of age as on 1st June, 2006. He/ She should not have any previous knowledge in the language applied for. Other things being equal preference will be given to teachers who teach languages. Restriction on teaching experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Director, Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore.
How To Apply: Prescribed application forms and prospectus for admission can be had from the Director, Central Institute of Indian Languages, Manasagangotri, Mysore-6 or from the Principal of Regional Language Centres (both address mentioned above) free of cost by sending self-addressed stamped envelope for the value of Rs.15/- and the size 12 cms x 30 cms. For details visit website www.ciil.org under training admission. The applications should be routed through proper channels i.e. Director of Education of the State concerned. Candidates should enclose two copies of recent passport size photographs and documents mentioned in the application form. No advance copy of the application will be considered. Candidates should carefully read the Deputation Rules in the Prospectus and satisfy themselves about their physical fitness to undergo training in the centre concerned.

Candidates should submit their applications through proper channel to the Director, Central Institute of Indian Languages, Manasagangotri, Mysore by 31st March 2006. (a) The selected teachers from Government/ Full Government aided schools will be paid their salaries based on the Last Pay Certificate sent by their respective Drawing and Disbursing Officers duly countersigned by the Inspector of Schools/ DEO to the concerned Principals of the Regional Language Centres. (b) The selected Teachers other than the Govt. and Full Government aided schools will be paid only a consolidated salary of Rs.5, 000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) per month. All selected teachers will be paid a stipend of Rs.800/- {Rupees Eight Hundred only) per month during the training period as per deputation rules. The selected teachers will be paid TA/DA for their onward and return journey and during LET as per deputation rules. After the successful completion of the course, the trained teachers would be considered for payment of cash allowance of Rs. 70 (Rupees Seventy only) per month for the period they teach the language to a minimum of three periods in a week in their respective institutions at least for one academic year.
