Procedure for Obtaining XAT Bulletin from SBI and XAT Registration

1. A candidate can obtain XAT Bulletin from select branches of State Bank of India on payment of Rs. 700/- (Rupees seven hundred only)

2. Registration for XAT 2008: The applicant has to log on to the website www.xlri.edu and go to XAT registration. Here he/she has to fill in the XAT form on-line with personal details, XAT Bulletin No., date and SBI branch name and submit the form online. After submission the candidate will immediately get his/her XAT ID and password

3. Once the candidate provides the bank detail he/she can proceed to take printout of XAT Payment Advice cum Photo Form (XAT PP Form).

4. The candidate has to paste his/her recent photograph and give full signature at the space indicated on the XAT PP Form. The candidate has to enclose the third copy of the bank/XAT pay-in-slip along with the completed XAT PP Form and use the special envelope provided in the XAT Bulletin and send it by registered post / speed post / courier within a week, after obtaining the XAT Bulletin. An objective type (MCQ) Entrance Test for admission to B. Pharmacy course in Government B. Eligibility:
(i) For admission to 85% State Quota Seats, the candidate(s) should be bonafide/ domicile of Himachal Pradesh. For admission to 15% All India Quota Seats, there is no such condition of domicile/bonafide of Himachal Pradesh.

(ii) Should be a pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects alongwith one of the following subjects: Mathematics/ Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science.

Entrance Test Notice for Admission to BSc (Hons.); Bio-Tech and M.Sc. (Bio-Tech) Course at SILB (Solan)

An MCQ type competitive test for admission to B.Sc. (Hons) Bio-Technology and M.Sc. Bio -Technology will be held on 16.7.2006 in the morning and evening sessions respectively for admission to above courses in Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The number of seats in B.Sc. (Hons) Bio Technology will be 50 and for M.Sc. Bio-Technology the number of seats will be 40 out of which 10 seats in each course will be subsidized Merit seats for HP. Bonafide/ Domicile candidates passing qualifying examination from Himachal Pradesh Schools or from State Universities located in Himachal Pradesh. Rest of the seats in both the above courses is Non-subsidized seats and the same will be filled from H.P. / Non-HP. Candidates on the basis of this test. The test will be held in University Campus at Shimla.

For B.Sc. (Hons) Bio-Technology the candidates should have passed 10+2 (class twelveth) Examination or its equivalent from recognized Board/ University with any of the three subjects out of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Bio-Tech, Computer Science, Biology with 50% marks or equivalent grade. (For SC/ST candidates marks of eligibility will be 45% or equivalent grade).

For M.Sc. (Biotechnology) the candidates should have passed Bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern of Education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Science, Pharmacy, Engineering/ Technology, 4 years B.S. All students seeking admission to Symbiosis Law College will be those who clear the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), which is to be held on 6 May, 2006, Saturday. Candidates clearing the SET will also have to clear their H.S.C (10+2) or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks. Those who have appeared for the H.S.C examination are also eligible to apply, however they should pass the exam in the very first attempt and should not be placed in compartment.

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Fees and Instructions for Payment:
Fees
The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) has a Non-Refundable Fee of Rs 500/-

Payment can be made by any one of the three options Cash, Demand Draft or Credit Card. For making payment please follow the instructions on the website. In case of payment by Cash or DD, a challan, need to be printed from the website from the payment option.

In Cash
This Challan is in 3 parts. Pay Rs. 500 in cash at UTI Bank branch in your city. Refer to the city wise list of branches on the website.

The bank will return two parts of the challan to you. One of them is the receipt for you.

Sign the Symbiosis copy of the payment challan and send it to the Collection Centre at SET, C/o Blue Shift, Dignity Centre, 21, Abdul Razack Street, Saidapet, Chennai 600 015.

Via Demand Draft
Get a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- from any bank in favour of Symbiosis Entrance Test payable at Chennai.

Sign the single copy of the payment challan and send it along with the DD to the Collection Centre at SET, C/o Blue Shift, Dignity Centre, 21, Abdul Razack Street, Saidapet, Chennai 600 015.
