Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is the single written entrance test required for Admission to the Symbiosis Undergraduate Institutes of SIEC Deemed University. It is a mandatory written test for admission to undergraduate programmes of the Symbiosis institutes. However, it is only the first step. Each Symbiosis institute has its independent selection process.

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Fees and Instructions for Payment:
Fees
The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) has a Non-Refundable Fee of Rs 500/-

Payment can be made by any one of the three options Cash, Demand Draft or Credit Card. For making payment please follow the instructions on the website. In case of payment by Cash or DD, a challan, need to be printed from the website from the payment option.

In Cash
This Challan is in 3 parts. Pay Rs. 500 in cash at UTI Bank branch in your city. Refer to the city wise list of branches on the website.

The bank will return two parts of the challan to you. One of them is the receipt for you.

Sign the Symbiosis copy of the payment challan and send it to the Collection Centre at SET, C/o Blue Shift, Dignity Centre, 21, Abdul Razack Street, Saidapet, Chennai 600 015.

Via Demand Draft
Get a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- from any bank in favour of Symbiosis Entrance Test payable at Chennai.

Sign the single copy of the payment challan and send it along with the DD to the Collection Centre at SET, C/o Blue Shift, Dignity Centre, 21, Abdul Razack Street, Saidapet, Chennai 600 015.

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi will conduct 11th All India Competitive Examination for filling up 15% of the total number of seats in 41 Agricultural Universities in 10 subjects of Under Graduate degree Programmes including Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries Science, Forestry, Home Science, Sericulture, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Science & Technology and Agriculture Marketing Banking & Co-operation, and 100% of the seats at National Dairy Research Institute, Kamal (Haryana) in Dairy Technology. There will be no direct nomination of any candidate for admission in any Under Graduate degree programme.

Date and time of the Examination: 7th May, 2006 (Sunday) from 10.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M.

National Talent Scholarship: To promote agricultural education in the country, National Talent Scholarship @ Rs.1, 000/- per month shall, be awarded to all the finally admitted candidates who join any University? Which is not within the domicile state of the candidate.

Scheme of Examination: There will be only one question paper consisting of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Agriculture for STREAM - A and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for STREAM - B. The candidates may choose any Stream according to their eligibility and choice of the subjects. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. ENGLISH and HINDI.

Reservation of Seats: There would be reservation of seats for admissions in all the subjects to the extent 15% for Scheduled Castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes, 3% for Physically Handicapped candidates, and 2% for candidates from Underprivileged states (UPS) as defined in the Information Bulletin.

Eligibility:
The candidate must be at least 17 years of age but not more than 23 years on or before 31st Dec 2006. No relaxation of age will be allowed to candidate of any category. He/ she should be an Indian National. He/ she must have passed and obtained not less than 50% (for General and UPS Categories) and 40% marks (for SC, ST, and PH categories) in 10+2 examination. Any candidate having compartment/ supplementary in any subject in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 is not eligible for admission. One who is appearing for 10+2 examination in the year 2006 can also apply subject to his/ her producing 10+2 passing certificate on the date of Counseling. Pass in English in 10+2 examination is essential for admission in some of the Universities.

Exam Details: C-DAC centres at Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi and Chennai intend to recruit IT/ Computer professionals from D-level/ G-level candidates of CST-2006 examination with requisite qualifications. Vacancies are currently available at various C-DAC centres and also at Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS). CST-2006 EXAMINATION HAS Four Levels of Examination: E (Entry Level), I (Intermediate Level), D (Diploma Level), G (Graduate Level). For Admission to PGDST & FPGDST (2006) Courses of C-DAC Juhu, Mumbai, Admission to these courses are regulated through the E or I level examination of CST (D/ G levels also eligible). Eligibility: A degree in any subject or engineering diploma as recognized by a state government or the central government. Final-year degree students can also appear for CST 2006 subject to the condition that proof of their qualifying for the Degree shall be produced by end December 2006. Software Competence required for appearing for CST ranges from no training (E level) to a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology (G level).

How To Apply: CST Brochure is available on payment of Rs.100/-from C-DAC Offices at Mumbai, Kharghar (Navi Mumbai), Bangalore (Electronics City) & all leading book stalls. To get brochure by speed post, send Rs.150/- by D/D in favour of C-DAC, Mumbai. Application Forms: Form A1: should be filled by those candidates who wish to appear for CST 2006 examination for the first time or for those seeking improvement of earlier CST scores. Form A2 should be filled by candidates who do not wish to appear for the current CST-2006 examination though would like to be considered for courses/ recruitment based ONLY on their earlier CST scores. This option may not be available for next year. Candidates are urged to apply online. In extreme cases candidates may use the appropriate application form (A1 or A2) given in website www.cdacmumbai.in brochure or a photocopy of it. The application forms may also be downloaded from the website http://www.cdacmumbai.in/education/cst/. Read the instructions in Appendix H carefully before filling the forms. The application form is available on the website at http://www.cdacmumbai.in/education/cst/. It is recommended that candidates fill up the form online. On submission of the form online, a Registration number will be assigned to the applicant by the system. The applicant must write the level of examination they are appearing for, his/her name and the registration number on the reverse of the Demand Draft. The Demand draft along with three passport size photographs should be sent so as to reach C-DAC Mumbai before the last date. Candidates must write the name on the back side of each copy of the photograph. Candidates must provide a password of their choice when they fill in the application form so that they can access their data subsequently. They can query the status of their application and other details such as CST ID number etc. online, by specifying their Registration number and Password. To reduce chances of misuse, candidates are advised to select a password that is not easily guessed by others. Do not use your name, date of birth, etc. as passwords. CDAC locations at Juhu-Mumbai, Kharghar-Navi Mumbai and Electronics City-Bangalore provide the facility to apply online. Addresses of these locations are given in Appendix B broacher. Submission of completed forms: It is Strongly recommend that you apply online and the bank draft covering the fees be sent to C-DAC Mumbai for processing. The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, in their endeavour to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students wanting to seek admissions to the Member Institutions, have formed Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka COMEDK.

The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has been assigned the task of organising a common entrance test for the academic year 2007-2008, for candidates aspiring to pursue Post Graduate Courses in Medical and Dental studies in the state of Karnataka, in colleges run by Private Medical and Dental Colleges who are Member Institutions of the consortium.

COMEDK Post Graduate Entrance Test-2007 (COMEDK PGET-2007) COMEDK will conduct a separate entrance test for Medical and a separate entrance test for Dental Post Graduate courses called COMEDK PGET-2007, for candidates seeking admission to Post Graduate courses in Medical and Dental studies. The entrance test is being conducted for use by COMEDK Member Institutions only. The COMEDK entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admissions for the Post Graduate courses in Member Institutions. The COMEDK PGET-2007 test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year 2007-2008.

The COMEDK PGET-2007 will be conducted only at centres in Bangalore on Sunday the 11th February 2007

About Member Institutions: Twenty-eight unaided, private Medical and Dental colleges affiliated to COMEDK, across the State of Karnataka, offer various courses in Medical and Dental studies at Post Graduate level. Claims made by candidates as belonging to Karnataka origin or Religious or Linguistic minority status etc is not verified while sending TAT for COMEDK-PGET 2007. However, if such a candidate qualifies for attending centralised counseling, it will be his/her responsibility to furnish original documents issued by competent authorities to the satisfaction of COMEDK authorities, failing which such a candidate will be considered only under All India General Merit.

Inter-change of category status will not be entertained during the course of PGET process (i.e. students appearing under General Merit category will be considered for eligibility in that category only).

Test Scheme: There will be one test for PG Medical and one test for PG Dental Courses. Each test will have 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQ).

The time allotted for the test would be 180 minutes. The test will begin at 10:00am and end at 1:00pm

Candidates are required to mark their answers in an OMR (Optical Mark Reader) Answer Sheet.

Each correct answer is awarded one mark.

There will be no Negative Marking.

No Mark/s will be awarded for multiple marking (marking multiple responses) of any question.

Eligibility:
Degree / Diploma Programs: Applicants must meet all requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their MBBS/ BDS from an institution recognised by MCI/DCI, and must have completed or completing their internship by 30/04/07.

MCI / DCI Norms: Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate medical / dental course in any of the medical/ dental institutions in the country, shall possess recognized MBBS/ BDS degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical/ Dental Council or should obtain the same with in one month from the date of admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate training restricted to the college / institution to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for Post Graduate studies; Provided further, that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subjected to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his own country from which the applicant has obtained his / her basic medical / dental qualification and that his / her degree is recognized by the corresponding Council or concerned authority.

As per the Post Graduate Regulation 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test (COMEDK PGET-2007) for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50 percent for general category candidates and 40 percent for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (As declared by State Government of Karnataka from time to time).

As specified by the Dental Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test (COMEDK PGET-2007) for admission to Post Graduate Dental courses shall be 50% for all the candidates (Reference: DCI. Letter No. DE 14-2004/1135 dated 05 May 2004).

Rank list / Card will be prepared only for those students who are eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the Medical Council of India or Dental Council of India Regulations.

Test Admission Tickets and Related Information

Candidates appearing for COMEDK PGET-2007 will be issued a Test Admission Ticket (TAT) for identification. Candidates are required to bring the TAT and the original declaration form duly attested by the Head of the Institution where he/she has studied last, as submitted along with the application form. This is mandatory.

The TATs would contain the PGET-2007 test centre assigned to the candidate. The candidates are assigned a test centre during the application processing, and no requests for change in centre would be considered.

The TATs would be dispatched to the candidates at the address they mention in their application form, by 02/01/2007.

Change of address, if any, during the process of COMEDK PGET-2007 must be intimated through registered post / certified dispatch to COMEDK office; the responsibility for the same rests solely with the applicants, and COMEDK, is not responsible for the same.
