Applications are invited for UPPGMEE-2007 to various MD/MS/PG Diploma and MDS Courses of 2007 in the K.G. Medical/ Dental University, Luck now and in the U.P. State Medical Colleges of Agra, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur and Meerut.

Eligibility:
1. Candidates who have passed MBBS/BDS Course from the State Medical College of Agra, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Meerut and KG. Medical/Dental University, Lucknow and recognized Private Medical/Dental Colleges of U.P. or

2. Candidates who have passed MBBS from Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun, and are bonafide residents of U.P. and selected at the time of undivided Uttar Pradesh before appointed day (i.e. 9-11-2000).

3. Candidates who are pursuing PG Diploma Course in any subject shall be eligible, with the condition that he/ she will be considered for the Post Graduate Degree Course in the same subject only.

4. Candidates who are pursuing Post Graduate Course after being selected by UPPGMEE/ AH India Pre Medical/ Dental Entrance Examination shall be eligible, only if he/she has resigned and the resignation has been accepted by the Principal of the concerned Medical/Dental College and has refunded the stipend received by him/her during the said course before the notification of this examination.

5. Candidates must have completed compulsory rotatory internship by 1st May, 2007.

6. Vertical reservation for SC, S.T., & O.B.C. and Horizontal compartmentalized reservation for Physically Handicapped category shall be applicable as per Govt. directives. Candidates who wish to avail the benefit of reservation in physically handicapped category must obtain certificate by appearing before
Special Medical Board constituted by D.G.M.E. at Govt. Medical Colleges, Agra, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Meerut, Kanpur and K.G. Medical University, Lucknow on 13 & 14 October, 2006.

Arunachal Pradesh Entrance Examination is conducted by the North-East Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST). The academic programmes offered in the institute are in the Engineering / Technology and Applied Science streams which offer admission in Base, Diploma and Degree Modules in Technology are: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Agricultural Engineering. Reservation and Allocation of Seats: 80% of total seats are allotted at the rate of 10% each to the eight NE States and will be filled as per the reservation policy of respective State Governments. 10%seats shall be filled on all India basis as per reservation policy of Central Govt. Description: Integrated MSc Programme (Basic Sciences) after 10+2 (or equivalent) schooling. The institute will initially have four major schools - in mathematical, physical, chemical and biological sciences

(i) 60% marks for general category and 55% for SC/ST category in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII (or equivalent) examination, from any recognized Board in India. Students who have passed the qualifying examination in 2006 or are appearing in 2007 are eligible to apply. Where only Letter grade is given by the Board, a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks will be required. Admission Processes: For Five Year Integrated MSc programme will consist of two components:

Students seeking admission to NISER will first appear for a National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) to be conducted on July 29, 2007 at a number of centres in India by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (TIFR), Mumbai.

Based on the NEST score a limited number of students will be called for interview at Bhubaneswar.

Students who are Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellows or those who have qualified in the Indian National Olympiad Examinations (2007) organized by HBCSE (TIFR) in different subjects will be called for interview without going through NEST, provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria for admission and send their applications along with application fee like all other candidates.

Final selection for admission will be made only on the basis of performance in the interview.

Number of Seats and Reservation: There will be 40 seats in the first year with reservation of 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST categories. The admission will be very selective and students who are highly motivated to pursue higher education and research in science and its applications are encouraged to apply.
